Hi

I am on W800i & use GPRS for surfing on the PHONE as well as on PC (thru Phone). I was recently going through some threads herein where many people suggested to change the INTERNET MODE from WAP to HTML.

I checked the mode on my phone. Its WAP. But I am facing no apparent problem. All my surfing & downloading needs are being satisfied.

However, still I would like to know the difference between these modes. And why is the HTML mode preferred over WAP? Am I missing something using the WAP mode.

If you suggest the HTML mode what other setting have I to change/tweak?

A lill note: My carrier charges me a fix amount per day irrespective of usage or data transfer.

Thanks for your help.

(this response is from the opera mini thread)

In the menu, under tools->settings you have the option to rotate screen. So it's still there, but I can find no shortcut either.

Rotate screen shorcut is user defineable, Ext menu>Settings>Shortcuts, you can assisn it to 0,1,3,7,9 or any hash number combo from here. I posted this info in the other topic ages ago. You can also assign the utility menu to any these from here.

Not a clue about the dif between modes, but in some UK networks HTTP usually allows bigger download limits
