BeiBei looks nice. The dark colors look a lot better than the silver/blue combo we've seen before.
I do notice it has the blue triangle above the reception bars. What does that represent? I used to assume it indicated a triband phone (as it seemed that once SE started sticking quadband in their phones as standard, that triangle disappeared), but I'm wondering if it simply means it's in a GPRS network. Can someone help tell me? |

Xajel: It is indeed A100/A200 if it's the software platform we are talking about, as you can also look up here.
A1/A2 is, as I understood it, the name of the hardware platform.
(Correct me if I'm wrong)
A100/A200 - it's fake. Correct names of software platforms - A1/A2. Hardware platforms - db2020/db3150.

oddie: I think most of the icons are placeholders. Camera & Media look like they do on G700/900, so the rest is likely to be replaced either. |

So the keyboard will also be main menu shortcuts like on A2 phones.

Thanks Xellar
Also, the link says that all three phones were running UIQ 3.3. I was under the impression that the G700 and G900 did not. Am I right?

Muh-Oil, that is what I was thinking. Maybe SE will delay the G900/G700 and put UIQ 3.3 on it. |

Was wondering this, too.
The original article here says that it's the "new UIQ interface" although it is the known tweaked 3.0.
(BTW, nice to see they use deuxanis mockup as the product picture for P1i ) |

bodeh6, they won´t...did you understand that what appears on these photos are the menus we always have seen on G700 and G900??? the same UIQ3.0 menus??? so, nothing has changed, its just that chinese site, and JUSTAMP after, made an error by saying that is UIQ 3.3

decided to see how the black BeiBei's back MIGHT look like. (I used an old spypic of the casing of "an early BeiBei prototype" and played around a bit)
It seems pretty similar to the w890. Mizzle-have any big changes been made to the back design since that prototype??
Anyways- here's how it would look:
