well according to jog-dial vs d-pad conversation, what if Paris will have rotating d-pad, so could use normal 5-way navigation and when needed you could scroll with it...it has ideal shape to it

If it doesn't have a Jog-Dial then it better have a rotating/scrolling D-Pad... Otherwise, there will be another point in the shortcomings of paris... Let's hope for the best |

Probably none because the dpad in the pictures are too small for a convenient rotating machanism.
Perhaps the reason SE didn't include a Jog-Dial is because UIQ 3.3 will have an iPhone-like touch scrolling? That's reasonable for me

That would be a bit irrational. |

not quite...(quoting myself) Jog Dial is certainly more practical for fast scrolling large documents or web pages or for confirmations/main menu etc while D-pad is for "precision" moving. Not saying they should ditch the D-pad, just think that together, they would be a dream combination ! Something like a P990, FC mode ...that possibility of CHOICE between various means of input, and using what suits you best in given situation is what P series was and should be based on.... |

Information from the 1st post about Shiho!
TV/Out, HSDPA, HSUPA, Xenon flash, A-GPS, WLAN, Slider format, BT 2.1.
I've heard some say BT 2.1 might not be possible but is all the rest possible on the A2 platform?
I'd like it to be slimmer, if not the same size as, the K850i with optical zoom of course.
W760 has all of those other than Wi-Fi, Xenon and Bluetooth 2.1 and I think BT 2.1 and Wi-Fi will soon be implemented... And a flagship Cybershot can have a xenon for sure...
W760i will have A-GPS, BT 2.0, HSDPA. However, BT 2.1, WiFi, Xenon Flash, and HSUPA won't be there. I'm still Hoping WiFi Module will make its debut for A200 platform phones.
Mizzle, any possible update on this? Wanna sell your current one?

I have a feeling that these spec. are made by some enthusiasts same as some other rumers before, but I hope my feel is wrong to take that phone

well, W760 is not a high-end so I don't think it will have WiFi any time soon, and no way to have Xenon as it's walkman not CS, so BT 2.1 is the only thing lift, I wonder when phones will begin to use it BT 2.1 has avery nice feature + longer battery time when used as HID...
about WiFi and OSE, Mizzle already mentioned and showed a A200 screen shot of K850i running WiFi application, and said there will be a WiFi enabler accessorie something very similar to the FM Transmitter made, but he and we don't know about when this WiFi enabler will be available. and our knowldge about this Enabler is the same about when OSE phones will have built-in WiFi
I hope Shiho will have it + A-GPS, I hope A250 will make all of these easly possible, maybe WiFi with A200 has some limitations or something wrong that need to be fixed before going to market and A250 will fix all this...
the last thing is BT 2.1 I wonder when it will be used in mobiles, it has been here for a year now and a lot of other devices already used it ( like computer mice and keyboards )

I know its understandable when we all say 'A200' or 'A100', but it's not actually correct. The platforms are called A1 and A2 I believe, and Mizzle has said so, among a few others. So if an updated version comes out, my guess is it will still be called A2, but it will just have updates, just like the C702 and C902 have the desktop menu options to change the layout, while the W910i, K850i, etc don't.
If they do rename it, or give it an updated name, then its probably gonna be A2.5.

regarding that WiFi enabler and many more accessories:
check:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=164949
several accessories are mentioned in the g700 and the g900 white paper (((including that WiFi enabler)))
maybe this means that the WiFi enabler will be released together with the G700 and the G900
BTW.... the White paper is no longer available on the developer site due to this huge mistake (((showing all compatible accessories -- announced or unannounced))) --- BUT i have them |
