You can actually tell if something is red that turns out pink.
But that picture seems to have no hint of red - that top color I presume is actually, or naturally, pink.

of course it is. the top color looks exactley like this in the real.

here is red with new 037. think you guys are quite wrong. new 037 is way much better then example 029 who sufferd pinkish. (its just very little pink left, but can hopefully be more optimized by future fw)

What is really horrible with K850's photos is that they have too much compression,so you are obliged to resize your pics to 800*600 maximum because at full size the pixels are ''explosed''

I want the new R1F firmware... Can't understand why W910 got new firmware a month before K850...
Download FPC Bench a good benchmark/system info for your phone.
Download Pocket Inclinometer for your phone's accelerometer.

hey guys...has anyone had a problem of the touch keys just becoming unresponsive...i do know how to use the touch keys, and when they work its brilliant...just a light tap will do...but there are times my phone just wont respond with the touch keys, at times it takes ages to get them to respond again. just want to know if any other people have had a similar problem and how to resolve it. i am on the latest firmware btw!!!

somehow i feel a lot of the problems with the k850i might be related with the touch keys...as w910i has similar software on it but is much more stable as it doesnt have touch keys!!...i feel having touch keys means the processor has to be constantly on the run trying to see if there is any touch occurring or not!!

I dont think it'll do anything unless it gets a pulse from the touchkey.

It does - it has a terrible tint and you can never get blue or red correct - reds gets pinkish and blue gets purple

- but since you only post the picture from the K850 - noone can really tell what it looked like in real life and thus noone can say if the colors in your picture are correct or all screwed up

Your "evidence" are quite useless

Exactly - at full normal size view the amount of compression artifacts are absolutely terrible - even under the absolute best posible lighting conditions.

Just take a full size look at the picture above from plankgatan which looks fine when small - at normal size the image are covered with imagenoise, edgenoice, compression artifacts - even on the very easy to photograph color rings, and even under very good lighting conditions.

My K750 never showed this amount of image noise when pictures where taken under similar conditions.

Sorry plankgatan - I know how much you value this phone - but I have to say - that this phone is really poor. I have hated it since day one I got it.

Camera sucks - it doesnt matter if it can take pictures of 5mpixel and have all these settings to choose from - when the result are allways wrong colors and image noise - its just useless.

The soft buttons sucks - everytime I try to talk on the phone it starts to live its own life when my cheek accidently touches the softbuttons, it writes sms, it turns on mediaplayer - it does all kinds of things, and when Im done talking I have to spend time getting out of whatever function it started. But when I do have to use the soft buttons to actually work the phone - half the time they dont respond.

Response when operating the phone is terrible, its so slow that half the time I get to press twice before it reacts, and then when it do react I get one step further than what I wanted and I have to step back.

And then theres all the other things people report......

I have allways been a big SE fan - make no mistake about that - but this incredibly poor phone, and the incredibly poor respons from SE to actually do something about it is horrifying.

How old is the phone by now ? - and still no proper firmware fixing anything.

But - its a new platform, we should be patient..... right ?

- well not really anymore - you could say that when the phone was released but after 10 months you cannot call anything in the world of electronics "new" anymore. Its very close to being outdated if anything.

Well - atleast the sun is shining - and I can get me a cool beer from the fridge

Wrote a email to SE to express my views on the things we think that are upcoming:
Hey,
I've got a K850i, and I was wondering. I've seen some videos of the new c902, and the new menu's and face detection look really cool. As the c902 and k850 run on the same platform, I was wondering if us K850i owners would see an firmware update that changes our menus to look like this. At the moment my K850 is unreliable, it keeps on restarting and I had to send it to a service center as when I turned it on it only lit up the blue ring and keypad. Having a firmware update that fixes the reliability and gives us these new menus would be sweet.
Could reply answering my questions please,
Harry
