Got another question...
I was looking at the spec sheet for UIQ 3.3 yesterday. UIQ is built on and fully integrated into symbian 9.x, correct?
UIQ spec sheets says that it supports animated wallpapers. Is it still not possible because symbian doesn't support it? I find that pretty confusing considering UIQ is built on top of symbian to begin with.....
@ PK
almost? what's wrong with what he said..?? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm |

Then I will rephrase it. How many phones, with HIGHER SPECS than the one we are being shown leaked pictures of, will be announced by SE this year? (Hoping for a grand total of 0 ) |

ahh. I will wait then. At least up to the time this one is released, just to see what else may become available soon. Cheers PK, youre not very wordy, but still very helpful >D.
Moogoo, think of it this way, if this one slays the competition, and is soo worth waiting for, another couple of months for something better is a pretty sweet deal, dont you think?

But that goes without saying. Of course phones with higher specs will always be announced. There can't be a "perfect" phone since stuff will always come out that is better. The real question is: Is the phone we're being leaked now what we're expecting it to be? |

I think you'll find I said 'likely' to be the P3i, not definitely.

now that pics are being leaked left right and centre the announcement will not be far off, but what have lined up for us all ahead is quite interesting and a big credit to the designers at

Maybe you should have asked: How many UIQ phones, with HIGHER SPECS than the one we are being shown leaked pictures of, will be announced by SE this year?
It might be possible that those higher specs phones are based on WM... or not... |

OK, but "definitely" not the uber-device we've been waiting for, you said. I just don't think that call can be made....yet....regardless what it is eventually called.
Again, the question is: Do the specs of this device match up with what we've been expecting since November?

Yep. But in the end, each to his own expectations. For example, I would be happy to wait for feature x, y or z, but not a, b or c. Im happy to wait to see what else comes along. Youre right, Laurenke, but I dont want the same thing to happen to me again as it did when I got my K700. I was a noob at the time, I bought the K700, knowing the K750 was only a few weeks away at most, but still I couldnt wait any longer. And then I realised how much I wanted all the improvements the K750 had. Till September at least, all I can do is wait and see.
MikeMeyers: maybe YOU should ask that, if thats what YOU want to know. Im personally not too driven by the OS of the handset, more by the features and general design of it all.

@tigershark..
indeed. But i'm just tired of waiting....
I've been wanting a smartphone from SE for a long time. Since the original P series started, i've wanted one. And for years, I've never had the income to justify spending that much on a phone. Now i have a great job and have the income and although it does take a bit of rationalizing on my part, i can afford it. I'm just tired of waiting and I hope the wait for THE UIQ FLAGSHIP to be announced and released is not far off. I was hoping this "paris" would be it, but if it's not, I guess I will wait. Like others, I want the top tier in phones if i'm gonna be spending so much already...
