Are you kidding?
The K850 has the loudest speaker ever on the K series and especially with the FW 031 |

the external speaker may be loud but if you play music through the media player and listen through a headset the volume is really low.. not loud enough |

the volume through earphones is more than sufficient!
do you want the volume so high that it hurts your ears after a while or to the point where your music starts to distort
i cant hear any outside noises when im listening to mine. volume is plenty!

compared to other phones in the market the headphone volume is a bit low. i wish it was just a bit more louder. |

Scary thing happened today, turned the camera on then off, then off again in quickish succession, then I got it, keypad lights on, blue ring lit, I thought it was the end. It turned itself off, I took out the battery and replaced it and turned the phone on as usually, thankfully I have a fully functional phone now, close one.

Yeah, that usually happens when you try to push a lot of keys fast and the phone isn't that fast to process everything. It doesn't happen only with the camera.
The guys developing the sofware for K850i are total idiots. It's been such a long time from the launch and we still have BROD, shitty close-up xenon flash pictures, resets everywhere, the phone is slow when listening to music via the bluetooth stereo headset etc.
Once you start down the path, forever will it dominate your destiny!!! |

cannot agree more ... why this shitty crappy firmware.... in particular, the camera is the shittiest in terms of red colour reproduction!!! |

yes, with the original headsets the volume is very low..
but if you try any of these new walkman headsets (with those rubbers plugged in the ear) the quality and volume increases alot! |

I would Highly discourage you from taking the battery out when the phone LOOKS to be off after a crash. This is how I got my K790 trashed the 1st time due to impatience. The phone Should boot up on its own without taking the battery out - it does it even faster than a full boot cycle, but might take about 5-10 seconds for it to start booting up and then it pretty much goes back to the home screen without going through the SE Logo and flight mode selection (if enabled). If the phone is non-responsive (looks to be off) after about 30-45 seconds then I suppose there is no choice but to take the battery out. |

No you don't!
I'm not into nanny state/companies... but constant tinnitus really pisses me off.
Get the in-ear, plug style 'phones that come with the W range - they block out more outside sounds so it's a lot clearer for lower volumes and sounds louder. |
