I have a similar problem, I'm not sure if it got to do with the firmware or whatever, but i was texting then my K850 just switched off.

I tried turning it back on but all it showed was a black screen and the keypad lighting up. and it was doing it three or for times till it stopped.

I take out the battery and insert it back in and turn it on and it does the same thing. i dont have my sim card or my memory card in and it still did the same thing. i have it on charge and i noticed that when i plugged it in a red/orange light was emitted on the power button, then it just repeats it self with a black screen and the keypad lighting up.

i love my K850i now. it hasnt rebooted once after i put the new firmware. looks pretty steady to me... one problem i find is that when i listen to the media player through the headphones the volume is not loud enough. anyone else noticed this? when i play the radio the sound is loud and clear. i have this issue only when i play music through the media player.

Yes same here.. It's not loud enough when playing through Media in the handsfree.

is there any solution that increases the volume for the media player when listening through a headphones

I'm using my w880 until the k850 is stable enough to be worth de-BROD-ing... but I was just having a play about with the K850 and noticed that it smells a bit of burnt components
Not a strong smell.. only if I open the battery cover and smell it.

Can someone who has one that hasn't BRODed and is familiar with the smell of a blown resistor have a whiff and see if that's normal?

I think is one of the BROD issues. You need Davinci o kulankendi to fix it, or if your K850 still covered by the warranty, then take it to the shop.

Is anybody able to help me flash the firmware on my k850i?

current Version is;

1200-4401 R1CA029 070922

Everytime I connect to SEUS I get an error "Update Not Available"

The phone was imported from Hong Kong so I assume its debranded?

Many thanks

If you had a BROD with 031 the chances to get another BROD with the new 037 are great!!
Keep your actual 037 and choose stability over functions,SE will make sooner or later a new FW that will give both

It has R1EA031 installed in it after i got back from the dealer. I think they put a clean firmware in it. So not a single reboot since 4 days. but it had some restarts 1 month ago when i updated through SEUS.

So i should keep it now and wait for the stable firmware.
thanx for advice [addsig]

well then make your own program

the only reason why these companies have all these firmwares (usually) before release them onto SEUS is because they pay to acquire them.

They need to make money you know. They are businesses, they arent going to hand their products out for free, that wouldnt be a good move now would it

was obviously stating the 'obvious'..... just a little bored waiting to go out.

until programs like xs+ (free) support a200, we'll have to keep paying.....
