And the couch is gathering dust....so by the time scotty decides to reopen the show, the couch will need some serious vacuum cleaning

Good afternnon everyone and welcome to another chat on the couch. This afternoon I am joined by one of of Esato's regulars; a veteran of not only the forum, but also of the Indian community here at Esato. Over the past year or so he has become a well known and friendly face to the members of this forum. Please welcome mrao.
How did you find Esato?
The same way most 1st time users do...googling for ringtones & themes and ahem *cough..cough* free games
What were your first impressions of Esato?
Hehe...Considering I was looking for free games, not very positive. But something kept me coming back, and I guess it was the vast resource of information that Esato has come to be known for.
p.s.. Still no games here
How easy was it for you to become part of the community here?
In retrospect , I think it was a gradual process, which took some time.
I was reluctant initially, to post my views in threads being discussed in the mobile related sections ,and I used to stick to the Regional section. To be perfectly honest, I did'nt realise how easily I evolved from being just a part of just the Indian community on Esato and started identifying with the global community here,as a whole. Now its like a second home
Who is your favourite member of Esato?
Tricky one, eh? That would have to be list that would take pretty long to compile, mate.... Besides I'd hate to leave someone out, coz there are so many of them.
For the record, You used to one of my favourite members too, for your wit and should I say...balanced view of things which reflected in your posts...but we don't see much of you around in these parts these days, do we?
Who is your favourite moderator?
Another tricky one but relatively easy to answer...because I've only interacted with two of them ...Masseur & Tranquil ( and a very fleeting 1 pm interaction with Cytech) . Masseur and Tranquil are both unique in their own ways...so its hard to pick a favourite out of the two. But I do admire Masseur's ability to provide an answer to almost every question..or to instantaneously provide a link to where the answer could lie.
What's been your best Esato moment so far?
Lets see...that would have to be the day I spent half the night
helping a particular veteran member prepare for a job interview the next morning. And spent half the morning answering questions and giving real time support through PMs And guess what, this dude got the job I hope he's not reading this now
What's been your worst Esato moment?
Come to think of it....None
You've been a member here for some time now. Now that most of the older members are gone how does it feel to be one of Esato's 'new veterans'?
Not very different from the way it used to feel during my early days. Actually, I never thought of myself as a "veteran".. new or otherwise...since there are so many things that are discussed here
that I still do not know. And there are so many great folks around here who have been around for so much longer than I have...and who seem to be virtual libraries on the subject.
P.S: But now that you have conferred the title of "new veteran" upon me, I must say...I feel truly honoured
Has Esato changed much in the time you have been a member?
I wouldn't think so....There used to be meaningful threads & garbage threads or posters in those days...and there are meaningful threads and garbage threads or posters now... So I guess, some things never change
The Indian community on Esato is very strong, can you tell us something about it?
I think the mobile phone culture in India, has pretty much matured over the past couple of years ...thanks to Nokia So much so,that if I were to cram a mix of a 100 mobile phone users into a room....90 of them would be Nokia users...and the rest would probably use a mix of other assorted brands.. So I think it is only natural that
a collection of individuals, who share similar tastes ( in this case)
would get along pretty well sooner or later.
Which mobile are you currently using?
A K750i
Which mobile are you most looking forward to?
I've recently acquired a K750i ( My 6th handset this year) And I promised the missus that this one is going to stay put at least for a year....but I guess thats about to change , with the W900i & P990 lined up for release
Please joing me again soon when I shall be speaking to another Esato favourite ...
P.S. It's the same couch and it's in tip top condition.
