Yep, custom ROM hence the added search button at the bottom!
Seems to charge pretty quick, sounds faster than the S2 from what you have said... Cant comment on battery as yet, at my parents place and my signal hovers on 0 to 1 bar, constantly jumps between H and 3G and sometimes drops to full 2G signal... So poor testing ground as its struggling with one of the main battery drainers - network signal!
The ROM came with a custom kernel with undervolt enabled so ive tweaked the voltages to, therefore expecting good things overall... On 25% after 12 hours with 3 hours of screen on time but will report back after a few charging cycles and some real daily usage...[ This Message was edited by: Caspa on 2011-12-27 00:54 ] |

Thats what i had on the GS2 poor signal in good areas with never a consistent 3G/HSDPA connection compared to others it was never picking it up and sometimes i had to manually search as it would never pick it up automatically. Same issue on the GS1 aswell.

No signal problems for me.Its solid.
Coming from the X10 yes the battery does seem to take longer to charge but it last longer so no complaints from me.

I had no signal problem on my SGS (i9000).
-------------
My order was confirmed on Friday, and was scheduled to deliver on Tuesday, but.... sad news: the company told me yesterday that they have no more white i9100 in stock, and i'm not getting it today.
Don't want to buy the G version (i9100G)...

Sounds like you're realy enjoying it, yeah i guess you have to give the battery some time/few charge cycles to be fully optimized.
Why not just keep it on 2G? Thats what i do with my phones, keep them on 2G and switch to 3G when i need to download files.
Tried any games yet? Think im going to try GTAIII on my GS2 next week, saw a youtube clip of it running on the GS2 and i was blown away, looked exactly like how it did on PS2.

Yep, i also dont have any signal problems with mine, its better than all the phones in the house (X10, BB 9810 Torch2, 3GS, iPhone4, 5800, K850 and BB 8900 Curve), despite the late afternoon thunderstorms we have at this time of year here in Jhb where some of our network's towers get hit by lightning, its quick to switch to another tower.

Not saying it was a phone issue, more like a network one so no worries...
Thinking about giving GTA3 a try to! |

I have a i9100G. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
It's still faster than what I had before (Sony Ericsson Hazel).
Nokia 6070 (2006-2009), K550 (second hand 2009-2010), Hazel (J20i) (2010-2011), Samsung Galaxy S II (2011-2012), Samsung Galaxy S III (2012-2014), Sony Xperia Z3 (2014-) |

Main reason why he wants a i9100 is due to it having the more powerful Exynos CPU with Mali MP400 GPU, which is more powerful than the TI OMAP4430 CPU with PowerVR SGX540 GPU found in the i9100G im guessing.

I understand that.
But, the phone is still zippy and still trumps many Android phones out there.
