Just downloaded 037 Nordic From SEUS.
Several people seems to think that there is a major release on the 10th Dec. However when I display my FW info it says:
R1CA037
071012
Couldn't the last part mean 10thDec in yymmdd format and thus this is all SE is giving us for a while....
ehm? i hope not, 37 was already made on the 25th of okt, only this week it was released to the public.
They had 1+month to make another firmware |

Ehmm meant to say 071012 is in yyddmm date format, and that 037 is the 10Dec "Major" release...Based on other users feedback on 037, its not exactly a major release... |

It would be yymmdd, so 12th of october 2007, they will most likely be working on a new firmware |

Had a strange problem with my K850i this morning. Got it out of my pocket and noticed all the keypad lights, camera ring light, camera button light and basically every light/LED on the phone were on but the phone was not responding. I had to remove the battery to get it to work.
Anyone else noticed this? I have an O2 handset with 037 firmware. |

Ok. Maybe some info about a possible new firmware.
One of our members (_borg) has bought an MBS-100 speaker system to use with his K850i, but he found out that it is not compatible with the speaker system ATM.
So he went to SE support area and found this:
«If you have purchased a K630i, K850i, V640i, or W910i please update your firmware in the next release in January 2008 for optimal performance.»
So maybe the 10th December new firmware is in fact due only in January 2008...
You can see _borg's original post here:

I only have to say that this major update should be available at the moment that SE is selling Bluetooth accessories like the MBS-100 and when SE says that the K850 has stereo Bluetooth™ A2DP
Also the K800/K810 are compatible with the MBS-100 and the K850 don't
For God's sake

So is there any problem to use HBH-DS980 with K850i? |

It works pretty 'ok' with my HBH-DS970. Sometimes the controls and the tiny display don't work properly, but it doesn't stop the music from getting through
I'm not sure if there are big differences between the two... but it should work I guess.
If not, I'm pretty sure it will be fixed after the firmware update.

hello people new to this forum..got my k850i few days back..
R1CA029
prg12004400_GENERIC_SO
Customization
1204-0634 R3A
1200-5441 R1CA029
S-ASIA-LEVAN
now the stuff i wanted to tell..
when i got the phone, i am pretty sure the customization codes were different..but i never had any of the probs that all the rest have been havin, mainly..
1. Camera does not produce dark pics, occasionally the background is darker, but i am guessing thats expected..the subject is well lit up, and the flash obviously does not have the power to reach all the way to the back, mainly in open spaces..am i correct?
2. Media player is ok ok..cud be a tad faster, but it wil do..i have a 2 gig Sandisk Micro, almost full. But the entire UI does slow down a bit with media player in background..
3. I havent figured the bitrate thingy though..the videos are slightly stucky, so the audio goes out of sync..wil be very grateful to anyone who can guide me to the correct formats and software.
4. No OPERATION FAILED on anything till now, other than when trying to dl something thru net. Thats really irritating..The thing is that after I did a master reset to try n fix OPERATION FAILED, the customization codes changed..how is that possible?? The problem still persists though..
And lastly, some people seem to hav probs with BT speakers/handsfrees etc..but my jabra 8010 seems to work more than perfect with the 850..
