Kulankendi does a full flash and changes the CDA, that is how I changed the CDA on my k850. If you have problems with kulankendi contact the author on the gsmhosting forum, he might take a day to answer but he is usually a very nice guy and solves these problems.

It's been a day and he hasn't replied there, after no reply there for a few hours I posted here to see if anyone knew of anything I was doing wrong maybe! So my €8 has been wasted, and there's no way I'll be recommending KK to anyone (or SE for that matter) unless they sort the damn thing out for me...

Can't believe it! 3 days after updating to R1EA037 - BROD! I had R1EA031 before the update. No restarts or sudden shutdowns. No errors at all. None after flashing R1EA037 either. Now I shut the phone down, try to turn it on again but except for keyboard and camera ring's light nothing happens. It really came out of nowhere!

This is exactly how mine went - no clues, just pop.

my phone came with the 037 version. I aint had any problems with it at all. apart from some very occasional re-boots, which does not happen every day. I am happy with this. I don't think I will update when the update will be available for me on O2 unless I am having major problems. But so far so good.

Lots of conflicting reports about all the FW...

Just makes you wonder what is the real cause of it....

most of the problems came from branded phones.
And most BRODs came from R1EA031 firmware.

So far that is my observation, I don't know if its accurate.

I think the problem lays with the phones that have been Debranded.

Maybe make a poll and see whos phones is the problem makers.

That's what the BROD is. You turn the phone on and nothing happens, other than the keypad and blue circle lights up. The phone is dead and needs to be sent back to the supplier or SE, or you can void the warranty and start re-flashing with a paid third party service.

I returned my phone, but unfortunately it takes weeks for a new one, not days.
