I've also noticed something strange occur.
I thought i'd try the FOTA service, just to see if it was saying anything different to SEUS.
It connected to the service, but instead of telling me i already had the latrst software installed, it just quit and went back to the Update service screen.
Looks like SE are doing something with FOTA now, its taken long enough!

After 1.5 months, I got my phone back with R1EA031, but i updated it....
I am starting to get really fed up of SE new cr@p... phone is still slow, contact list is lagging. And for same price and 5MP i can get phone with WLAN (N82 or even N95/(or add a bit more for new 96), but I hate Nokia's design, it's cr@p, imho) Really annoying, why the hell camera phone cant have WLAN?
What about new F/W: did not notice a lot of really cool changes....same sh1t...
And now.....am really NOT sure if my new phone would be SE (after K750 am really disappointed with this SE's phones, I would say K750 is the best phone of SE and one of the best phones ever)

what use is wlan on a phone?!
If you're in range of a wlan then you're usually at home or work and therefore in bluetooth range of your pc/laptop
If you're out and about you've got hdpsa so don't have to go searching around for a hotspot

Definately GLAD that is working on opening up to allow FOTA to do its thing! Kinda ironic as I mentioned this in another thread on another forum as FOTA being the biggest let down of SE ...glad that they're fixing things.

hi everyone. im new to the forum. well i have a K850i and it crashed last week. i used kulankandi to flash my phone. then i updated it usin SEUS. everything works fine. but now i have this message that pops up "ciphering not provided by operator. Insecure transmission" when i make a call or receive a call. i also noticed that this message only appears when the phone is running on the EDGE network. it doesnt appear when i have 3G coverage. this problem did not appear before the phone crashed. i tried using different SIM. only my providers SIM gives me this notice.

We won't celebrate too fast, hopefully it won't just end abruptly all the time. We'll just have to trust for now.

FREAKIN' A!
Looks like VERY soon the TrackID will now be updated and the NEW SE PlayNOW Online MUSIC Service (searching for music recorded off the phones library, recorded via mic, or radio to PlayNow): Searching, purshasing, browsing artist biographies will be up & running
Mizzle any update to this?

I think he's asking for help rather than showing something new.
It says it's only for SE mobiles but i assume he's using a k850 |

the first thing i did after the update was make a call and i got this error message. i have not gone on the internet.i tried resetting the phone as well but this error message still appears. i tried other SIMs for different service providers. the error only appears on my service provider. but this error wasnt there before i updated. and the error only comes when the phone is running on edge. it doesnt appear when the phone is running on 3G |
