I see no reason why 'Paris' would have a QVGA screen. Its specs tell us that it will be SE's flagship, and well in 2008 its quite obvious that QVGA is unacceptable in a flagship. SE isn't that dumb. Have a bit more faith eh?
Looking at Symbian flagship phones by Nokia (N96) and Samsung (G810), I don't see any reason why Paris won't have QVGA. And looking at those screenshots I see no indication of a higher res screen. But time will tell! Let's hope I'm wrong. |

Yea- especially with the nokia 5610 having a better cam than the top walkman W980-it's about time... |

i like the hype p5 is getting from all the mobile web sites
gsmarena calls it the "new Sony Ericsson monster handset"
@deuxani
i strongly believe that p5 will have a better screen than QVGA. won't disappoint all those who have waited for p5 imo. the mobile phone community are all eyes in anticipation of p5

Paris looks kind of like the HTC Touch Cruise. I just hope its well built. Also what CPU is it meant to be running on?

off topic:
remember when "Casino Royale" debut-feautured k800?
well, another james bond movie is in the making. it would be cool if x1, p5, c702, g900 and the others wil be showcased
i can imagine Bond running in the rain carrying a c702 and making a phone call. or, bond using an x1 flicks through the panels and connects to the net. or, bond touches the screen of g900 and selects the subject to be auto-focussed

They could make an se phone with a "self-destruct" option for tha film- and then actually sell it.
I remember seeing a fake ad for a "the phone that does everything" (shaver, MRI,ironing machine, airconditioning...)that also had this option. Ont thug stole this phone from one old lady and ran off- she just smiled and pressed a button on her (bluetooth enabled:lol:)watch and bang!
(ok-that was waaay of topic)

Wait till official specs are announced (which has to be soon) and then decide what you think, i'd say too early too specualte whether its good or not.

Um PK- what adjective would you use in reference to the P1?? X1??
Seriously- compared to the x1- is it spicier,milder...??
never mind- the specs will speak for them selves soon enough.
Although it's Shio that I'm really geting excited about...

the "paris" phone used in Paris hehehe
am guessing the back part of p5 has a very interesting design

Goodness, for a few days now I have had this feeling of being let down (again) not by the looks, I like it very much and I like that it's a slider, and a nice bonus is the P1i keypad which I like even more.
No the feeling comes from the screen, 2.8" is good enough for me but I am thinking abou the pixels, I doubt that it is QVGA, but I am afraid that it's gonna be only WQVGA, for me to be impressed and have a feeling of "wow" VGA is a minimum.
Well, I just have to wait and se I guess.
Current mobilephone: P1i and my now old K800i, and before that W800i, V800i, Z600i, and T310. Waiting for X10. |
