R3 will be for K850 as well, yes. The A2 phones will all use the same firmware revisions with only slight changes in the firmwares.
Anyway, as someone said, I told you that R3 was coming back in January or February, but seems I was way too early on spilling the beans on that one.

I took out the memory card when I got BROD last time, reinstalled the fw through davinci and haven't reinserted it until now (after upgrading to 37). I was testing the theory that BROD and the restarts are somehow related to the card. I haven't experienced any restarts after my latest re-flash but then again, I didn't experience any restarts the first 2-3 weeks after my initial upgrade to 31 and still got BROD. Hope 37 is a bit more stable...
@Mizzle, how positive are you that a FW similar to the ones in the upcoming phones is in the works for K850? Is this something that has been confirmed, rumored, or just wishful thinking? |

The following firmwares with revision R1EA037 are on EMMA;
VFE-LIVE-B, ADRIATIC, AMERICA, APAC-ANZ, BALTIC, CENTRAL-EUROPE, FRANCE, HUTCH_HK, NORDIC, S-E-EUROPE, TAIWAN & WESTERN-EUROPE.
Hope that helps you guys.
Vlad83,
Well, hasn't really started segregating the A2 software yet, so it'll be very much like the upcoming ones.

@Mizzle
can you spill the beans on any of the tasty features we can expect with R3?

For those who have updated to R1EA037 check wheather the menu speed has increased when playing music via bluetooth headsets like hbhds970. As fr as i can remember, its wery sluggish but a bit fast with the wired headsets. |

I suggest you to read reviews of C702, C902 & W760. All the details should be there

Mizzle,
How soon should we expert it for ASIA-LEVAN?
It seems we are lacking here this time. We were lucky to have R1EA031 the very day it was released.
thanks for your inside info mizzle. |

Three main features that you can see from the c902:
1. New menu styles, not only new icons, but animated launching effects and you will be able arrange the menu in linear and spiral forms
2. Improved media library, you will now be able to access games and rss feeds through the media player
3. Face detection on cyber shot models.

TV and online video will also be added to the media application, as well as TV-out support (dunno if this goes for K850 as well).

pfff "inside info", this shouldn't even be inside info.. there should be a clear changelog and some notes on what's to come

I will wait for a while (3months) just to see if K850 will be given this facelift. if not bye bye K850.
My hopes for K850 is very minimal especially its slow proccessor. i wonder if it can handle all these features.
I sometimes believe SE used K850 as a test for their A200 or DB3150 platform that's why its having all these issues.
All hope is not lost yet. lets keep our fingers crossed.

thats one thing i do agree with, SE should start releasing changelogs for firmware instead of us having to guess and create our own

By the time SE fix K850 into something useful, most of it's users, myself included, will be already bored with it. |

maybe so but it'd be nice to see what they at least think they're doing to the phone
