Nice gwery -pad non-camera phones for business minded which aren't allowed to bring cameras to work.
I just got an idea (nobody even consider taking this seriously)
Could BeiBei be the symbian cybershot?
Lots of stuff contradicts this(orangy style casing, wierd controls) BUT if BeiBei was generic she/it would kinda get into the g700 and g900's territory. And what did we hear about a new cybershot with a scrolling wheel?? mhhhm?

And Japan has white Cyber-shots too. SO905iCS anyone?

Paris will NOT be qvga (thanks for the clue Mizzle)
-"The front of the phone holds a large touch display (with UIQ 3.3 supporting WQVGA, VGA & WVGA) "

-"Check the aspect ratio of the display, then decide what resolution there's left. That's the one most likely to be used, although QVGA has been the display of some prototypes."

Now was PK's "one release" referring to
a/ the next press conference?
OR
b/one of the "x1 cousins"?

Hmmmn, still not a fan of the looks im afraid. It looks like such a cheap design... one material on one side, a different one on the other... Aside from the fact that it looks far too much like a wannabe iphone (yes, I still think that) The uncomplicated design, 'mirror' effect black panel and seemingly pearlescant back panel just give me the overall impression that its more of a girls phone :S. I thought it would be meatier, it would look 'the business', it would look classy, in a nutshell, X1esque. Or at very least, W960esque, or P1esque. How can you have a P-series phone look like a fashion handset? Its nonsense. When I heard it would be sleek and black I thought it would fit the part perfectly. But theyve f**ked up. This looks like its designed for kids :S And Im praying it isnt also a fingerprint magnet just because of that stupid mirror effect.
Lets face it. A P-series phone has to look conservative, sophisticated, refined, somewhat elegant, a performer, sleek, useful, uncompromising. This phone looks like none of these things. Im not a fool to buy a car with 'candy' paint, I wouldnt buy a phone like that either. As a product design student, im appaulled at what theyve done here. And finally, QVGA would be dissappointing. But lets face it. The specs keep getting worse and worse considering what we had assumed them to be. OFC it doesnt have to be what we thought it to be. But it should match our expectations of what it will have. And now its not UIQ4, the screen size somehow keeps getting smaller (LOL!), AF could go away, the sexy looks are gone (all gone!!!), its not really very slim, and now theyve added nothing new by using that controversial rocker keyboard. Yay. Sure was worth the wait. LOL!

More and more I get the feeling that Paris will have a QVGA screen.

Based on the pics and everything i have to agree...
If that's true than I'm going with X1 for sure... Anything under VGA (or at least WQVGA) is not acceptable for a high-end phone like paris, at least for me...

I'm just glad that this fall I will have a lot of good SE phones to chose from, unlike last fall when I had to go with the crapy N95.

I see no reason why 'Paris' would have a QVGA screen. Its specs tell us that it will be SE's flagship, and well in 2008 its quite obvious that QVGA is unacceptable in a flagship. SE isn't that dumb. Have a bit more faith eh?

i agree with you.this phone looks pretty next to a lg prada phone...looks too girly fashion phone than a business phone...those mirror effect reminds me of samsung fashion phones. And this will be a small disappointment for flip lovers..sliders are common...a flip looks more professional imo.

Small screen, rocker keys(a business phone should have a full qwerty),uiq3 series(uiq 3 has issues with memory management and regaining memory after an application is closed) and most most importantly, the way SE treated P990 customers are the reasons i will for the first time move outside a SE phone.

EDITED: Is BeiBei (whatever it is based on a g-series phone?)

BTW- you might want to update the description of that "Another W880i sized White Walkman handset" link Goldenface, yesterday Mizzle claimed it to be one of the first prototype casings of BeiBei.
(only if you trust Mizzle that is)

afaik, from miz, beibei is a

@oli
with the rumored specs of beibei, it could be a w960 replacement
