C702, C902, W760 and W980 all use the R3 firmware, and three of those are coming in shops within the next month or two. I guess you can expect the firmware update for K850/W890/W910 to be out a bit before that.
But is it true that for k850i will be R3 aswell ? or just hoping ... those models (C702, C902 ... are new one so they can have different FW). So please just confirm that SE is planning release R3 for K850 If it`s true they can do it even in two months but only if they will |

Well, just had a reboot with R1EA037. Previously I only had another reboot with R1EA031. Both when the phone was just sitting on my desk, doing nothing. Suddenly it vibrates, the keyboard lights up, and reboots. Could this mean that BROD is still possible/probable with R1EA037? |

YES!
That's why the BROD victims who upgraded to 031 will not do the same mistake and wait at least 1 month to see if the new 037 is BROD free...

Am afraid yes, since the CID is still 52 not 53. We are still at risk. |

Does that really have something to do with the BROD? I really don't think so.
Fortunately, no reports of BROD happening on R1EA037 YET, hopefully there will be none. |

even my k750 rebooted once on one of the final fws...
Not such a big deal if it doesn't happen too often and wont give us BROD.
Personally only had 1 reboot with my k850 |

@Mizzle
Howdy? I've read that you've become an Administrator or moderator or sumthin.
I'm glad to hear about that R3 thing. I knew you ahd it right the first time.
^_^ Are you sure we can finally alter the flash menu just like the C902? And how about face detection?
Just want to confirm... |

can someone tell me why I cant update to the new firmware (west europe)
im on R1EA031 debranded..
What is your CDA? I'm also on Western Europe unbranded, with CDA 1202-5694, and was able to update today. If you have a different CDA, you might want to change it with kulankendi...
Thanks for your reply.
I overrusshed thing, my phone said there was no update but when connected to SEUS there was.
I updated to the latest FM now and its a bit faster. |

DUDE! This news is like a wife loosing 40lbs in 2mths and ready to wear HOT sexy lingerie & dance dirty!!!! (sorry I'm proud of my wife lately).
OK so my K850i can get an update - so I'll unbrand then! However I'm looking forward to buying the W760i as an upgrade. Upgrade you all say? Yes, Walkman lineup has tended to be built more solid, perform better on day to day usuage, and has better battery life due to more frugal usuage of power. I loose the 5MP camera & the VGA video calling cam - but I don't know anyone to use it with (My wife hates using hers on her Shine). SO, I'm getting 2 of them, one for the wife to replace her Shine (no themes, hates the phone now), and one for myself. I also gain a GPS chip, Tracker app, TrackID (branded lossed it), SENSE-Me app, and slider form facter along with STEREO SPEAKERS! Oh yeah man oh YEAH!
I've tried to use the following MAJOR tip on my branded K850i ....
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=111542
and although I see a new icon when I plug in my HPM-75's (phone with headset icon) it STILL rings loud on the outside speaker, even though its auto in Silent profile.
PS Does anyone have the SE Tracker App extracted successfully from the w580i please? I'd like to give it a try before waiting for the W760i.
Thanks.

That has nothing to do with BROD, restarts, or how a FW functions. That's just security SE builds into their FWs to prevent anyone from tinkering with it.
I have a question for you guys that upgraded to 37. When you check software info, is there anything written next to memory card? In two areas next to memory card I used to have numbers in CDA style format ex: 1234-5678 but now I have: no file found. I wonder if SE tweaked that because the card was the culprit... |

Vlad,
mine has the numbers beside it. Probably you've flashed your phone before using kulankendi or davinci or something? |
