Camera seems unchanged. Could there be another higher specced device? π€
Could there be another PRO, as someone mentioned earlier?
I guess we'll see soon enough. The camera system's size doesn't look much different than last gen. Going by the focal lengths, main should have high mp for mid zoom. But I don't think the sensor would be any bigger than 1/1.52ish going by the perceived size.
Tony! So 10 iv has 5000mah battery. 1 iv should be the same.
Don't know why they needed to prove that tho. |

Weibo user that said it would have same 48MP 1/1.28" of iphone also said back then a 50MP 1/1.56" would be possible if there was no cost amortization by may. |

Well, think it's better if the sensors are bigger.
xpr I agree, 1 iii had a distinct look with its unique frame, while this design probably allowed more space inside I don't like it as much. It's also getting a bit old maybe |

I have a 1iii and I really like the design. But I fear that the tech press and some potential costumers may not react well to a design that wasn't refreshed at all. It's identical.
Personally, a much brighter screen and a significantly longer battery life are enough for me to consider an upgrade. The optical zoom is nice as well, but it remains to be seen whether Sony have improved the lens- the variable telephoto on the 1iii isn't very good tbh.
I suspect the sensors are mostly unchanged.

Man, I've missed this forum for years, even before Sony decided to withdraw from the Middle East Market.
But, Esato never changed, the 2014/2015 rumors threads are still sticky since that time
Good to see all of you guys are still here, especially @goldenface, @hawk12, @badassmam, @RacSony, @tai020381 & @Supa_Fly.
Hihi welcome back! π
Hope the snapdragon 8gen 1 is from TSMC and gets the cooling right although Sumahodigest state its higher score than Galaxy s22 |

I have no idea with everything
Just a theory, according to the previous leak, it can do seamless zoom
if that's not the 85mm-125mm optical zoom part, that could mean all camera support 4K120 and all camera support 20fps burst & 60fps AF/AE? |

10iv = cpu that cannot record 4K, same shitty 12/8/8 combo (exmor/isocell/omni), USB was downgraded from 3.1 to 2.0.
1iv = still 1/1.7", no LTPO, no native 10bit , no 1/1.28" 48MP bayer. Basically same screen but sony stop restricting brighhtness, no charger . Periscope has smaller camera now. Crap 1/3.5" that is smaller than the one used by mark 1 and 2.
ππ»ππ», I am done with esato and weibo. Tired of reading lies for months. I'd rather know nothing than reading false specs again, again and again.

Did the same and will continue after this.
For the first time in a long time they fixed the time frame between the announcement and the release. But imo iv is the most boring 1 of them all.
Yes the zoom is kinda impressive but even the footage they showed was blurry. The sensor is smaller and no mid zoom lens.
The uw is the same, no mention of macro capability, not wider etc.
10 iv is the bigger letdown. More money for almost a downgrade in cpu and still 60hz display with same horrible cameras. Despite minimal change it's still not available instantly.
See you next year guys! |

Quite an underwhelming phone especially considering its price.
The 10 iv was also underwhelming, considering that they, Sony has the Image sensor fab, I am really disappointed that Xperia can't seem to get extra priveleges on image sensor.. |
