K850 Firmware Overview |

guys i updated to 031 yesterday and my phone was on silent, and the first person who called me made my phone freeze and restrt 10mins later..
its a good phone but if the software is gonna restart every so often then im switching to motorola v9 o-o-o-o-h-h-h-h-h that phones sooo gooooood. |

Sure with icons looking so dated that 1999 won't seem like 1999,  hehe. I love the LOOK of the hardware. Unfortunately even MODs (I've seen ALL Kinds) still cannot do the hardware justice. Sure you get to large screens but the camera is BUNK! video playback & recording is bunk. Enjoy the ur new V9! You'll be upgrading that within 4mths.
I cannot STAND contact organization on the V9 or any other Motorola Synergy phone. I just hope newer MotoMAGX phones can deliver in Tri-band 3G what the UIQ3.2 ROKR z10 can.
But I'm more interesting to see whats new! |

have anyone noticed that on resetting to full factory setting the hspd setting is gone in the setting ...
now i have got another problem...
whtever i do .. pictures are not downloading or say loading tin the native browser...
i have cleared everything .. cache , passwords , etc... still nothing..
i have free space of 37MB on phone and 110 mb on memory card..
i dont think its due to network either coz.. when i downlaod other files .. like rar, zip..etc.. it downloads perfectly..
now i cant download any picture .. ie via opera mini .. which usees native brosswer to download pictures...
even the opera mini 4.1 beta also goes to native browser to downlaod pictures...
any help ,... please |

Is there anybody else that feels that the Megabas is gone or had been weaker in FW 031? |

if you get a R1EA031 who works like it should (like mine and many other people) then you easily have the best firmware. (fast UI, fast mediaplayer, no pink/purple tint in pics, good (normal) battery life time, and so on)
so once again, try to DPY flash instead of using SEUS, (i know it can be a problem if you dont have a  services place near you, im maybe just lucky to have a services place round the corner)
ps. i have never have one single restart or brod on my R1EA031-K850, (i flashed my phone with latest firmware 4-5 days after it came out on EMMA), so DONT give up people 
@thomas. the Megabass sounds like it suppose to do, (before on 037 it sounded to "bulky", now its more like the W810-mega bass sound. i think it sounds better now, you get used to it)

DPY Flash?? what's that?? you mean to say its better to update using 3rd party programs like KK or Davinci rather than on SEUS? is there anyone here who flashed their phones with 031 on KK or Davinci and did not experience any reboots or BRODs?? if there is none, MAYBE ill update to 031.. but as long as im seeing reboot/BROD issues... ill stick with 037 and wait for the upcoming firmware(if there will be any...) |

no, you missunderstand
listen here. DPY flash can only be done by your local services place
they use EMMA server. (it means that they put the firmware inside your phone on a 100% clean memory, which means less buggs, etc.... thats why DPY flash is absolutley the best way to uppdate your phone

well not everyone here can do that.. anyways, might as well stick with 037 and not have brod, rather than upgrade with 031, AGAIN, and risk having BROD, AGAIN.. or i can just sell my phone.. |

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME which version of R1CA037 I should flash for a phone on ORANGE in UK to get rid of 031 and the risk of BROD.
None of the variants on Davinci appear to be for Generic UK / Western Europe ?

can the DPY flashing be done on phones that are locked...and have network specialized firmwares?

thats interesting. does that mean a future firmware wont solve my problems?
Yes. Many photo issues are from dirty sensors or people covering the sensor when taking the photo. |

But I am on Orange and that recommended firmware would be O2 Branded software wouldn't it?
Someone must know what I need to flash to avoid BROD on a phone in UK on Orange ? |
