didn't have any specific time when theres and announcement, sometimes during and some times afterwards... but from the last announcement, I saw that the materials started during the conference and keep added even after the conference ended...

Sony Ericsson Z750a coming to AT&T in early April
It's not a surprise, but it's still overwhelmingly refreshing to see Sony Ericsson finally (and we do mean finally) bringing some 3G action onto AT&T. The "a" variant of the glossy, colorful Z750 clamshell will be hitting AT&T in an official capacity come early April, featuring an OLED external display cleverly concealed by the phone's translucent shell, a 2 megapixel camera and media player both backed up with Memory Stick Micro M2 expansion, stereo Bluetooth, and of course, that lovely HSDPA 850 / 1900 that's eluded Sony Ericsson's AT&T offerings for far, far too long. Look for it to go out the door for $49.99 after a $100 rebate.

This thread is growing at an alarming rate however most of the posts seem to from you guys building your hopes up for an announcement when there is no solid evidence of one and you keep setting yourselves up for a fall.
I doubt PeterKay knows for sure when the next announcement is and if he did know I don't think he'd divulge the information that easily (maybe with a few smacks on the back of the head with a tyre-iron might do it ).
High end announcements will be surrounded by a media-buzz and I don't sense any at the moment. Either there is no imminent announcement or they're playing their card very close to their chest.

Sony Ericsson brings new level of personalization to the mobile phone with the XPERIA™ X1
April 1, 2008
Sony Ericsson to put the user at the center of the mobile multimedia experience with its XPERIA range of phones
Las Vegas, USA – 1st April 2008 – Sony Ericsson today confirmed that it will be running Windows Mobile® 6.1 on its stand-out arc-slider phone, XPERIA™ X1, the innovative multimedia phone announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Using Windows Mobile® 6.1, together with Sony Ericsson’s unique XPERIA™ panel user interface (UI), will enable a highly user-focused experience with enhanced connectivity, messaging and multimedia features.
As the mobile broadband comes of age, consumers are waking up to the vast array of multimedia services and content they can access on the move through their mobile phone. The XPERIA™ X1 from Sony Ericsson enables consumers to personalise their experiences through a distinctive touch screen, panel-based UI creating an interface which is uniquely relevant to them and how they live their lives. This continually active desktop allows users to organise the phone’s active dashboard as they want, changing between panels just like they change their mood, activity and information needs in the course of every day.
“No two individuals have the same tastes and desires. Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA™ X1 has been developed to ensure that mobile web communication and multimedia entertainment can be tailored, putting the individual at the heart of the mobile experience in a uniquely personal way,” said Rikko Sakaguchi, Head of Portfolio and Propositions, Sony Ericsson.
Operators will also be able to custom build the touch panels that run on the XPERIA™ X1 to provide the consumer with a rich, aggregated offering of their applications and services. In addition, Sony Ericsson also plans to align with key partners around the panel technology to enable them to develop exciting applications that can be enjoyed by users on the XPERIA™ X1.

Boooring! Lol, seriously that's a bit weak. Everyone who really cares knew it already anyway. And I sure hope there wasn't a press conference for that. Its almost as bad as holding a conference announcing a new colour for an already released phone.
Thanks for putting the info up anyway Pop Lover. I guess we can all go back to our normal routines now. Haha.

Lol at least its not a P5 related question! I dont think it is. I think it would be a slider if it were. I think the W980 is a new line of high-end Walkman clamshells (if the W980 is a success it should continue I think).
