There's a part of me hoping that SE has learned how to shorten the time from announcement to release by keeping more info close to its chest. That's my hope. The X1 came out of the blue, maybe they can release weeks after its first apearance as other companies seem to manage. I truley believe that PK and Miz are sat on some awsome devices and the only thing I need is for them to be anounced before the G900 because it's that then the X1 for me.
Eitherway, the build-up is fun, let's just not take it so seriously and not forget that it's the fan-boys they're anoying, not their customers, who only care what's in the shops. |

Lol, SE took down my only proof of an announced phone. Now I have nothing. If you'll remember from 10 or so pages back, I posted the Z780 product page which was empty like all phones that are about to be released. This DID show that we would see at least one phone, but taking the page down has confused me. Does it mean they have withdrawn the announcement? Or are they hiding it now so they can surprise us? Seems odd.

Some of you guys need to chill out, it is a rumours thread after all. SE can't keep announcing tons and tons of new supreme phones; what would happen to the average and sh!tty ones? They have the whole world to cater for, not just Esato.
Anyways, I really like the looks of the G700 and G900. Since the P1 type keyboard was a love it or hate it thing, why would people go for the P5. Its going to be seriously expensive so will it be that much better than the G series? A Walkman version would be cooler with accelerometer, shake etc. but otherwise I don't see what the fuss is about. If P1 is going to get a UIQ update so will the G series so then what? What's the P5's unique selling point?
I think they should go back to a full touchscreen slab like the P900 with removable flip. They should offer different types of detachable flip i.e. full qwerty, rocker or possibly media keys.
I understand that the P5 is a business phone but you get the impression that the G series has been made to be deliberately worse than the P5 so that people will go for the P5 therefore the P5 will be better but will it put people of the G phones? SE have put down a quality marker in the G phones and may struggle to be go much further with the P5.
It has to be special beyond materials and screen size etc. As much as I liked the guy at Milan, the P5 could end up like Shevchenko, over priced and not much better than your average Joe. Or even worse, Henry at Barca. |

with no marketing materials tha tSE is/should be famous for ... an announcement seems unlikely which has been stated for days now. dont listen to PK about announcements hes usually wrong. listen to him about phone specs hes usually right.
there are others who know about the announcements, but nothing about the phones. its a trade off you need to know whos strengths lie where. |
