Looks like 1iv has video pro, also for front camera. And ability to switch cameras like iphone, quickly. |

Yes, it's a shame (wena). It's a great idea that could be easily developed. |

Does it mean each camera of x14 has variable telephoto:
16/24mm f/2.2/1.8 Freeform
35/50mm f/2.0/2.4 low dispersion
70/105mm f/2.6/3.2 periscope
Triple bifocal lens system
(R&D myth)
By the way, there are plans;
200mm f/4 periscope optical image stabilization |

Intersting. So it's probably 16-105mm "seamless" zoom camera |

Screenshot of videopro shows 256mm. I have no idea if the phone has 3 cameras + tof or 4 cameras. Because digital zoom for video from 105mm to 256mm would kill quality. |

They really wanted to say seamless camera module switching a la iPhone or Samsung. Let's see how seamless it really is. Samsung is jerky, Chinese brands are even worse anf only iPhone pulls it almost properly although you can see the color difference between lenses. |

£1000 phone with no charger in the box, what a disgrace.
What don’t you already have at least 1 or many more USB-C chargers?
Not a disgrace but smart engineering and cost savings. let me school you:
Apple was first to do this and they cited less impact on the environment (they meant over time). Many people bashed Apple for that. But anyone ever recall how many chargers for over 40 devices in production and sales by Nokia had in their heyday?!! I’m not just talking about S60 devices either but their more common S40 and even more dumb phones too!
The real reason that other manufacturers are catching onto is this: Logistics (engineering) and costs).
1. No charger means a MUCH smaller box.
This means more phones in boxes to ship in 1 single shipment to ANY destination.
This is engineering (think Tetris when stacking blocks in a plane or truck or freight boat overseas).
2. Less cost:
Not just for manufacturing or sourcing said charger from an OEM. No.
Real cost savings is the freight weight saved for the SAME amount of phones to be shipped WITH a charger is a LOT less without. Again smaller boxes, more devices shipped in 1 shipment - major savings.
Less Cost + Less freight shipment expenses + more devices shipped means = catching! higher revenues and thus higher profits!
Right now Sony Mobile division NEEDS higher revenues and profits (per device average selling price with reduced costs to market).
Disgrace? No … smart thinking!

You do not need. You can connect microphones. If teaser says " for music creators". It obviously new Pro app.
Do I earn any royalties for the idea of "Audio Pro" app? It was my idea. At least I deserve the phone as their way to thank for my ideas.
From the video it seems headphones are connected via jack and the person is recording directly from a phones microphone
For that kind of quality then the Microphones would be studio quality! Sweet!
Also the DAC would have been greatly improved!
Regarding ‘Content Creators’ or ‘Music Creators’ is buzzwords that just will not age well. Sure they’ll help it sell but esh seems like band-wagon jumping by Sony here, I expect better than that from them. We’ll see what the full marketing will be on Wednesday.

Apple saved over 5 billion dollars by not giving the charger.
This is why other are doing too. Most will charge with the charger that comes with phone, so if your new phone has 35W but previous had 25W then most will be buying the 35W charger instead of using old charger from other phone.
Look at samsung. Ultra has 45W, but you do not get same speed with the 45W from S20 Ultra charger. You need the new one.
These charger do not even cost $5 to OEMs, by not shipping they can later sell for $30, $40 or $50. |

Xperia 1III goes to 300mm (digital and AI super resolution). So 256mm is common. What I want to see is it can go 300mm optical zoom and start digital / AI super resolution zoom from here. 😛😝 |

@SupaFly
I agree with the environment aspect but old chargers charging at slower rates when the appropriate fast charger that takes advantage of the newer technology is expected given the price. Sony can cut out all paper and send warranty etc electronically, use recycled plastics for the chargers, but as Hawk12 mentioned, Sony want to save the money more than help the environment. |

Sorry for being off-topic but I agree with badassmam. If a new phone boasts a faster charging rate then it should ship with a matching charger.
Still no real leaks?
