I really hope they dont to be honest! It looks really cheap and those buttons on the side just remind me of a walkman tape player!
All they need to do is make a walkman phone with one button only the on and off switch and all the rest to be on the screen! |

yeah...
don't forget the Video recording and the Optical zoom though...

the 7.2MP phone will be the real K850i successor, released in late 2008, while the K850i update will be released in mid 2008, announcement maybe mid 2008 for the 7.2MP and mid feb. for the K850i update
the K850i update will have 5MP but with manual cover and may have Optical zoom with some how redesigned back layout, this is definitly not UIQ
the K850i successor will have 7.2MP, optical zoom and propably manual cover too, it may have UIQ but don't count on it, I give the UIQ one 25%
and if there's UIQ, therewill be two 7.2MP, one smart, the other idiot

Nono, I have heard that the rehoused k850 was canceled because k850 was so badly deleyed. Therefor the best thing se can do right now is to announce 7.2 mp phone in feb and release it in mid summer.. |

No need for those 7.2 Megapixels blah blah but perhaps SE should take attention of assigning Sony developers to build the K850 successor so that they would have first rate CCD sensor not the second rate CMOS Ericsson persist to use - remember that all SE cam phones built by SE have CMOS sensors except for one - the S700 which was solely manufactured and designed by Sony itself, that's wht S700 has amazing features on it's generation

and that's exactly why S700 was expensive too, wich relfects the low sales of it, peoples today missed the good old S700 days, as at that time they didn't get it why it cost more so they didn't buy it...

Coming back to the issue at hand, does anyone have any confirmation about the speculated Dec 12 event? At the moment, my sources haven't been informed of any such announcement.

^^Mobile Review is the only source I know for that story.
Sony exec reignites PlayStation Phone rumours
Is Sony Ericsson working on a PlayStation Phone to take on Nokia's N-Gage? There have been rumours before, but the speculation has been refuelled by comments from Sony Computer Entertainment co-chief operating officer, Jim Ryan.
The Economic Times quotes him as saying, "The PlayStation is a proven success and so is Sony Ericsson. Convergence with the two arms working together is definitely plausible."
However, the ET's story strangely suggests that this convergence is likely to happen by, in its words, "the phone being superimposed on the console, unlike camera phones where the camera was put into the phone".
What we think this means is that rather than a PS2 chip being stuck inside a Sony Ericsson mobile phone, it's more likely to be a mobile module integrated into the PSP. Although the fact that the Economic Times refers to "Nokia's Engage series" has us wondering just how reputable a source it is for this kind of gaming rumour.
