Hey john74, i now also own a 7650, tired from waiting for the p800.
i cant imagine that there is a phone like it, i think its even better than p800, i really like the WAV ringtones, and the midis, you can have a 10 minute midi as a ringtone and the size of it is only 50 kb, there is nothing called pics color enhancement in this phone, i can have a much bigger and clearer wallpaper, speaker is perfect, and i have loads of java apps on the phone, camera is more than perfect in normal color conditions, but in the night it is not that good but its clear, interface is friendly, size is not big at all, the signal of the phone is much better than in t68i even in very long distance calls, java makes everything easy, i have many games on the phone, so when i'm bored just pickup the phone.
i have a nice feeling holding the phone, especially when i slide the keypad out, the phone is banned here so everybody just keep lookin at me, i'm damn unique, and the 3.6 mb dynamic memory is very GREAT, i have a library of midis, wavs, pics and java apps, this is the first week for me as a nokia 7650 user, and the first time to own a nokia, and i'm just SATISFIED, and not waiting for any other phone anymore, i like this phone.
thanks nokia.
but i still say that the only good phones in nokia are 9210 and 7650.

That 7650 is a nice phone I will admit but, the P800 will be nicer yet and you would have been better off waiting and comparing the 2 and then making a decision.

@anas: Congrats for having a 7650!
But your sentence here is funny

You could call the person next to you on the street, it would be the same The phone reception is wrt the base station -antenna- to which it's connected. If you call sbody on the other side of the planet, you connect to the best base station around you (like if you'd call somebody next to you), and that's it. I.e. you don't call directly on the other side of the planet. |

i just bought the 7650 yesterday, used it for a while, then charged it, the phone charged for 10 minutes and then stopped charging, the phone was a little hot, then i tried many times to charge the phone and i charged it overnight but no response, then the battery drained completely, the phone now is out of battery, and the main problem is the service point is about 400 miles away from me, the phone is only 16 hours old, pleeeeeeeese help me now .

My T68 did that once too. Try taking off the battery, wait for some 5min and put it together, and charge. That should do it. |

Have you installed both the ".jar" and ".jad" file?
On www.allabouter6.com you can find some useful information on the 7650. |

There is one point that makes me think Nokia is better than
When Nokia says they will release a phone they actually DO RELEASE IT...
P800 will be a great phone, but is already old (screen colours and so on).
If I were you I would compare P800 to some Nokia smartphone only when the P800 is actually finally released.
's communication is so bad... No date on the site, no explanation to why they keep delaying it. My next phone will be a smartphone. But I really don't know if it will be a Symbian or a Microsoft...
And I am not happy to say that!!! But I am fed up with playing with customers that game... |

Just to make sure you know; when you make long distance calls from a cellphone the radio signals don't actually travel farther than if you were to make a call to a guy standing next to you.
But I think you knew that =) |
