@jadeparfait & @gelfen - Russell Crowe was truly one heck of an actor, though he made a movie w/c for me was 'failure' from the start, it was the movie about 'kidnapping' (I just forgot the title), shot entirely in South America, her partner was Meg Ryan (ex-hubby of Dennis Quaid), w/c eventually had a relationship while doing the flick. How about his performance in the just recently concluded film shot entirely in the ocean (forgot again the title)- 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ???.
This afternoon, I got to watch Vin Diesel's 'XXX' movie. The movie was a big hit here in Manila, also his Fast and The Furious one. Though I was really amazed how the producer of the film really doled out huge amount of money for a newcomer like Vin in the US Film Industry. With all the hi-tech gadgetry, Luxurious sports car - Corvette, dozens of Ferraris, vintage-GTO - the only 'cheap' form of mode of transportation seen there I guess was Vin's - snowboard . . . But truly, the movies wa great - like that of James Bond !

yeah jojo.. "Proof of Life" was a dud cause of poor finish and their off-screen doomed fling and a lot more things..

"Master and Commander : Far side of the world" is brilliant and crowe at his best with his new ponytail but yet it wasnt so compelling as it involved only two ships and the sea.. .

@jadeparfait - thanks for 'correcting' me there. Yes, the title was Proof Of Life (Russell Crowe), and it's not Pirates of the Caribbean (as it stars - Johnny Depp, and not Russel Crowe), should have read Master and Commander. Thanks again !

I got the chance to watch the movie of Mel Gibson - 'Braveheart' in it's entirety this afternoon (after 6 years from it's premier showing). I was really amazed with the story, it's a true one that transpired in the 'Old World' of what is now, - Europe! They are more of a tribesman who conquers every place they went to, Scottish or Irish by nationality, until they wanted to rule the whole of Europe. The scene transpired during the 13th century. The ending was not that good 'cause the hero/lead actor died, was betrayed by one of his co-leaders, but eventually revenged Gibson's death and battlecry which is "FREEDOM". It was really great !!! Worth your time watching it, and every cent you spent to buy it in DVD format . . .

How about the blockbuster hit movies done in series/sequels ???

1. Rambo
2. Rocky
3. Terminator
4. Die Hard
5. Lethal Weapon
6. Matrix
7. Star Wars
8. Rush Hour
9. Speed
10. James Bond Movies
11. Fast & The Furious

When it come to some old 'biblical' titles, I'll still go for the movie - The Ten Commandments - Charleston Heston !

except the 9th one.....whose sequel was one of the crappiest action flicks i have ever watched..

the best sequel is possibily be either XMen or 2Fast 2Furious(interms of money spinning and popularity not content wise.. ).
