by reading the review i will definitely not get the t610. SE still has not stepped up it's efforts to improve their status in the industry. i also don't like the t610's design and the use of aluminum which can be scratched easily or dented if yu are not carefuk with the phone.

does anyone ever use the shortcut keys for all nokia models ?
eg for 8210, shortcut key to go directly to find missed call is the menu button, -, then 2 , then 1 ?
so u simply press - 2 1
and so forth with the other options ...
does sony ericsson models or this T610 comes with this shortcut feature ? |

T610 and other sony ericsson phones does have such shortcut features. But since on T610, there's no number on the front of the menu, so you simply have to remember the number position for shortcut !!

I've got some bad news for those who can't wait for the T610 (myself included),i e-mailed  on Saturday, asking about the release date of the T610 in the UK, this the reply i got:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.
We do not yet have a confirmed release date for the T610.
Please look at ww.sonyericsson.com/uk for updates.
Please contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre again if we can assist you further.

Okay, so no problem there, i e-mailed again on Sunday regarding an approximate price (it was a long shot!) and i just picked up my e-mails now:
Dear Mr Walshe,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.
Answer:
Sony Ericsson would be unable to comment upon a price for this product until this item is launched within the third quarter of 2003
Please contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre again if we can assist you further.

Seems like the phone may be released soon?
has moved the T610 into their 'Global portfolio phones'-section (from upcomming phones - it's no longer listed here).
Any actual word on the official release date?
Maybe this is a good new topic, for someone to post, that actually know. Thanks.
We (here in Denmark) seem to get the phones fairly quickly in stores once they are 'out'.

Well if you go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/uk and go to product quicksearch, it doesn't list the t610. Yet if you go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/us and go to product quicksearch, it does list the t610 and in the Mobile phone catalog instead of coming soon! This looks bad for the UK  that, or they're too lazy to update the site!

can any of you guys that tested it say if dust gets stuck around the joystick and the uper buttons like at T68i. my phone stopped erponding because of such a problem |

Kind of hard to say, when only testing it for a little while. But since the joystick is similair to the T300/T310 joystick I guess it would be more like the T300 than the T68 |
