Well.. at least my S55 doesnīt hiss, you donīt fall asleep while browsing the menus, it has a proper file system, I can upgrade FW myself at home, it has proper java implementation (runs MobICQ without problems)
I donīt care if Siemens makes frying pans and pencils as well as phones. Thatīs like saying Kawasaki makes bad motorcycles because they make everything from drill bits to locomotives as well.
As far as i am concerned, all pre- t610 phones (and i am talking about phones now, not PDA hybrids like the P800) from (Sony)Ericsson makes me believe theyīre made from dinosaur residue.
*PS: I am not dissing P800 or their owners just because I choose to label it PDA hybrid*

Personally. I prefer siemens . I had the c25 for many years and would prefer the s55 over my t68i but at the time the s55 was Ģ370 hence my decision

I have got a s55. Its bluetooth has no automatic function, so the battery drains quickly, the memory available is 900 kb shared. It has unresponsive soft keys. Only advantages are space for 4000 texts flash camera and speaker phone.

exodus: I donīt miss the automatic BT since it didnīt work half the time on my t68i..
I seem to be lucky since i havenīt had any key problems yet anyway..
The softkeys are a bit sharp edged, thatīs all.
Personally i have mapped '3' key to IRDA and '4' key to BT. Takes about 1― seconds to activate/deactivate and thatīs good enough for me.
Donīt you find the filesystem better than other manufacturers? I find it very useful to get an "Explorer" view of all folders and their content. Itīs a breeze to drag and drop stuff to and from computer.

Yes, sure.. and the earth isnīt round at all, thatīs humbug! Everyone knows itīs flat, right?
I suppose you would only buy a Ford too? After all the T-Ford was the first reliable mass produced car, so by that rationale itīs gotta be the best?
quote: "These phones r made thinking of users! " right, so where does that show in sales? And why do non-tech heads shy away from SE?
I suggest YOU open your eyes, or at least your mind
Personally i donīt care much who made my phone as long as i like it.
I have had Nokia, Siemens, Motorola, Ericsson and Sony Ericsson to prove it.
So go ahead, keep sticking your head in the sand, itīs your loss!
