Hi there boys and girls. For months every1 has been goin on about T68i not having poly ringtones and no java and I agree, its a shame.
However, yesterday I pickedup a Siemens S55 and god dam its good. It has a list of features longer than King Kongs penis and its twice as beefy ;-) If any1 has a chance to look at this phone, I would strongly recommend you do as it kicks my T68i into space!!!

I bought this phone (S55) yesterday and have to agree that it is a really good phone, it even feels more quality in my hands than my T68 does |

THanks seems like a Realy great phone.
But it doesn't look nice, also doesn't seem to beat the t68's screen, i think i'll get a replacement for my t68, but not that one

Here's a comparison of the S55 against the T68i, stat for stat... you can even see how much smaller the S55 is compared to the T68i by clicking on the "Compare Sizes" link at the top of the page...

For me, SE T68i is greater than Siemens S55. I won't replace my T68i for the name of Java, by the way, it won't make me a better person naman e. If I am going to buy a new handset unit, then it will be a colored phone with 4096 colors and does have a polyponic ringing tones. |

Yes it has bluetooth, but the phone was released over a year after the T68, and has nothing extra added to it. I am a bit temped as I am on my 5th T68 now, this one seems to be fine, but the lights on the numbers are dim, is annoying me.
I don't know whether to get another one again, or go for a S55, or get a refund and use my old 6210 untill some new fones come out....

I said in this forum something like 13 month ago : "as soon as Siemens had a tri-band color phone, I’ll throw away my T68..."
And it’s exactly what I did 2 weeks ago… !!
Now, I own a superb Siemens S55, and this phone is unbelievable
It has everything the T68 has, plus a lot of other features like :
- Java
- Polyphonic ringtones
- The possibility to remove the bloody "operator name" (now I see very well my background…!!!)
- 16 fields into the contact (like street, city, zip… and a lot more)
- Notes (like in Outlook…)
- Hand-free speaker...
And Bluetooth is working a lot easier than the T68… / syncing with Outlook is working really fine… / A cable to connect the phone and a PC is included in the box… / The camera has a flash, and it’s quite useful…
Ok, it has 256 colors only… but I don’t really care, because as the phone accept .bmp images, the result on the screen is a lot better than in the T68…
The only very small thing I miss from my Ex-T68… is the "battery remaining time" when you press down the volume slider…!!!
