every morning my 3 alarms are set 5 mins apart, it takes 3 alarms to get me out of my sack lol, the first goes off ok, but the 2nd and 3rd only vibrate, then the phone freezes and i need to remove the battery.

i have tried to replicate this problem during the day by setting the alarm 5 mins apart, but it always seems to work. strange that its just in the morning.

ive also had a few other occasions when ive had to restart and ive noticed that it always seems to be when the walkman app is running, ive yet to test my morning alarms with the walkman app closed (ive only had the phone 4 days and ive just noticed the coincidence)

does anyone know when a firmware update is being released and has anyone else had this problem?

most frequent used word often be long down in the words selction dictonary, even if i use the word often everyday, in swedish dictonary anyway. I have several times sent an sms while writing by misstake because the "send" button is so near the "more" button i wish the "send" button will be moved to the left on the bottom of the screen.

I so agree, and one more thing about sms, if you send then just keylock without looking for the "sent" text or whatever, if it's not sent you will NEVER know if you don't frekvently look in the "drafts" folder, i just found some messages i was wondering why people never answerd me... sucks,

on my w900 for example i got a big window with not delivered and "cancel, retry send" thats a god sulotion!!!

edit: one more thing about the sms/mms the latest contacts seems to be random? i mean non uiq phones saves the last 10 or so contacts this one does not seem to do that, sometimes it does. really anoying, easier to chose from your favorit 10 sms buddies than your whole phonebook with hundres of people.

Hmm, just set up my e-mails on my W960i and when it finished checking it said I had 108 e-mails unread on the server (using IMAP) but when I went to the messaging app I only had 1.

@DCUK7

i guess the first time the phone checks they all are unread because you have not read them when using the phone?

was so with my old w900i anyway

Yeah, its the strangest thing. It downloaded 107 old e-mails, and I mean old! These were e-mails going back to 2004! The weird thing is I cannot see them using any other device!

I have two Windows Mobile PDA's and my K850i set to check the same IMAP server and they don't download any of these messages. Also when logging in to the mail account using my providers webmail site does not show these 107 messages (which usually shows all messages left on the server).

Only the W960i retrieves them! Wonder what makes that different to the other devices (and how is it possible to get these mails that are seemingly not there)!

Just got my w960i, a Hong Kong version.
It seems to be a bug in the wallpaper setup. In my m600i, when I chose a larger picture for it you could scroll to select the portion you wanted as wallpaper but this feature seems to have gone in w960i, despite the fact the built in help tells you you can do it!!!!

just done a google and it seems to be "introduced" to the p1i firmware... is this actually a feature change or a bug? Or do we expect SE to fix this?

Oh well I just have to go to the picture editor and crop the portion i need... very annoying.

@artesea

No sub-folders as I use POP3 for my desktop Outlook so I don't let it save messages on the server (so it means my phones/PDA's only see messages I have not read on my desktop). This is seriosuly baffling, I have a qualification in Microsoft Exchange so I'm no stranger to e-mail servers and how they work! Think I'll have to contact my provider!

@albantsui

On my W960 I have an application called Wallpaper and it gives me a way of trimming/cropping the image. I've never used the P1i so I can't say if its the same but it sounds like it does what you say the P1i version does. My organiser is R6F41.

This is the bug I am referring to
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=160147
as if it appears in the latest p1i firmware...

I've just got my w960i and not using it yet and I am at work at the moment so I cannot check the organiser version until tonight. Hope this is not a new 'feature' in the upcoming firmware.

Just found another one......

When using T9 if you need to apostrophise a word most T9 systems are happy with that.

W960i will sometimes do it but mainly you end up with '7 at the end and a message 'Word not in dictionary'

Maybe not a bug but needs sorting out and that sucks!!

i get the freezing problem too and its REALY frustrating me - it happens approx every 2 days and nothing responds, have to take out battery. i once caught it in mid-freeze and the whole phone jst gt slower and slower, backlight did not turn on thn eventualy it ground 2 a halt and nothing workd
and its not to do with any applications running eithr - that happened with only messeges and phonebook open and i have had it happn with nothing open (no wireless or bluetooth eithr)

askd sony n they said send in the phone n they will look at it for 5 days n maybe fix it... i dnt wanna lose my phone 4 5 days?!?!?!

if ne1 nos a solution PLZZZZ tel me coz i want 2 cry! lol

also ne1 with w960i: gdesk is a 100% must! (search it on google) it isnt yet 100% compatible with w960i so you have to spend about 3 hours seting it up but once it is done, navigation is SOOOOO easy. i found it realy dificult 2 find things when i 1st got my phone but with gdesk you can make your own home screen and have nice big icons 2 go to whatever you want. trust me its amazing!

might end up sending back my w960i tho if i can, its not as great as i was expecting and still has lots of problems and bugs. its a realy nice phone jst not increadible and dificult to use.

my wifi keeps disconecting too if any1 has a solution to that?

and ipmart-forum.com is also a gr8 place to get games/apps for free
