For U who have the luck to own a W960 already.
Have U found any bugs yet?
Is the phone quick in the menues compared to P990 / P1?
Have U found any leakage in the memory? |

Well, most of the times someone call, or message me I see their number instead of their name, even if they're in my contacts. I guess that sucks, but what sucks more is that I haven't been able to install any SE software on my pc. I guess SE still don't like Vista very much. The update service and the PC suite just wont start.
The update service just loops the loading screen, and the PC suite gives me the message "could not load the configuration".
I've also had some problems with typing text. Just small issues really. For some reason, if I try to typ just one letter the first pick of my phone i the plus-sign. :S
Other than that, I love my W960i sooooo much!
The music player is awesome, the display is excellent for watching my shows when I'm on the road, the wlan works very well, the calendar is a big step up from the k800i, and well, it's just a super sweet phone! |

Oh yeah, one more thing...
The jogdial only handles up and down, so with some third-party software navigation is impossible. Google maps for instance. Maybe they'll but some "left-right icons" below the software's main window in a later firmware release. At least I hope so... |

The problem with google maps is not really a bug as much as that version of the app is not compatible with touchscreen uiq. Try this one below its what i have on my p1i and it works great.

The contact problem you noticed have not happened to me a single time!
I agree with you the phone is awsome! no crashes or anything for now. |

Sometimes when i ad an own word in the dictonary the application krasches.. and I can't connect my bluetooth headset.. |

anyone got the problem where the "C" key cannot delete messages ? have to go to "More" then "Delete Message". for the P1i, pressing the "C" key deletes the messages. also deletes review of picture which was just taken. but this one cant on the W960i. is it just me ? |

Yes, I have that problem as well. Seems really odd, but when I click more and remove message it works without a problem. Might be related to that other issue with contacts. I found this link http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=232373&highlight=#232373 describing the issue with more detail. But this issue is from the M600... Seems this bug is still left in this series.
I'll get ahold of another phone and see if I can remove the contacts from my SIM and if this mayebe resolves the issue. |

I figured that was the issue. Didn't know there was a touch screen version of google maps, though. Thanks a bunch!
But the issue still remains for other applications, like games. It could be resolved with right-, and left-arrows on the touchscreen. |

i tried many things. removing SIM contacts then master reset. doesnt work. removing all contacts, master reset. doesnt work. nothing seems to work! the funny thing is it works for the first few minutes after reset. after a master reset, you are able to do it. but once it locks the phone after a period of inactivity, thats when you are no longer able to use the C key to delete. even those sms which you were able to previously but did not - ie reset, send sms to myself, click C, prompted to confirm deletion, select NO. sms stays in inbox....but after phone keylocks and you unlock, you cant delete that sms using C anymore!!!! help! |

I can now open mms-messages, and contact names appear when they call me, instead of ther numbers.
The solution was to delete all numbers from my SIM-card. There was no way to do that with my W960 ("reading SIM", but nothing happens), so I had to use an old phone. But it works now!
Still not able to delete sms-messages wtih the c-key, though...  Maybe there's a need for a firmware update? Or has anyone solved this? |

Okey, i have had the w960i since the 30 of november, have't really hardcore tested it, and i am new to UIQ
The first thing "not a bug" the alarm thing silent really means silent... sucks imo.
Sometimes it crashes but seems more random if i have many apps running "just SE apps" when i means sometime i mean top 5 times since i got it. and it have not destroyed any work just boot the app again.
and it's hard to be pricise with the stylus, i play ScummVM and use the "scribble" funktion for mms it's really fun.
and mark/deleting messages with the stylys can make you cry, if you miss the "check" with the stylus it may open the message and all your "markings" will go away.. this happens ALL the time for me, and managing the phone without stylys is not easy att all ( i know you can change almost everything to grind/big icons) but not the message meny i have it zoomed max.
and due to the small buttons, i tend to by accident hit the "walkmanbutton" as i typ sms, and yeah i need to press back 2-3 times to get to my msg or the back button. but then i get to the standby screen and have to navigate back or use the stylus for taskmanager, if you have nails you can do it without the stylus...
you notice the lack of dpad when you dl a game that not supports tuch or changing keys and button 1 and 2.
And the most anying thing is the camera and the camera meny, i think the picture colors suck and the ability to shoot indoors, dark dark dark, no quick buttons for the effects lamp nor anything like my old phones, you need to use the stylus or jogdial, it takes time you don't have
and the delete C problem, mine says "the file is protected" when i read and whant to delete a msg. i think it's just a safty thing but it takes time to delete trough the more meny.
it whent kinda of topic, there are not that many bugs i have seen =)
just design problems i need to learn to handle

Anyone noticed any memory leakage? Is the menues faster than P990? Does the alarm work with phone off?
