Well the Mobile-Review article on the w960 wasn't exactly supportive either.

W910 and N81 8Gb will most probably sell for about same price. But the N81 certainly beats the crap out of the W910 in specs and functions.
Someone can say he/she prefers the W910 because it is smaller and a have walkman sticker on it but it is just plain illogical to say W910 is a better phone than N81 in general.

You're completely right, it's your choice. It's your choice to pay the same for a competitor's lower spec'd competing phone if you really want to! I've been using Sony Ericsson phones exclusively for a long time now, and I'll be damned if the new stuff from Nokia isn't looking better and better with each subsequent hardware release. I've never owned a Nokia, but I can't help but feel that Nokia really listens to it's customers! After reading dozens if not hundreds of post and threads about Nokia's its become painfully obvious to me that Nokia fixes almost all of it's phones initial software problems after only a couple of months with software updates! Where as Sony, well we all know the score on that one (Symbian and UIQ anyone?)... Nokia also seems to have a VESTED interest in their customer's concerns and contentment with a device's technology and hardware, as witnessed with the new N95 8GB's release! Some of you complain and point a finger at Nokia for fixing the issues of the original N95 with a new release after only 6 or so months of availability on the market. Well, I personally laud them! At least Nokia had the balls to react quickly to all of the criticism from the press and their customers, addressing everyones issues with a new and improved release! That just sounds like trying to be "competitive" to me. What has Sony Ericsson done with it's own smart phone devices in a WHOLE YEAR (or, if you like the equivelant of 3 in the cellphone world!) since the P990i's release?!?.... They released the M600i and W950i, then followed them up with the P1i (that inherited a lot of the previous phones listed problems, with what amounted to many in the mobile phone community as band-aid fixes! Did I forget to mention that the OS and Ui hasn't changed much since the P990i was first released? Right.... Pfffff what, AFTER A WHOLE YEAR all Sony Ericsson can give me is a 3MP camera, WiFi B, and more RAM?....) and a yet to be released W960i; that's gotten mixed reviews at best and was announced well before the new N95 8GB (that's now shipping btw! Ha!)?!? That sounds more like "shooting yourself in the foot" to me than being "progressive" or even "competitive" like their competitor, Nokia. What happened to you Sony Ericsson? Maybe Nokia didn't have to change much more than the original N95's obvious and much maligned battery and RAM problems since they had already given a majority of it's customers almost everything they wanted in ONE DEVICE and some stuff they probably didn't even know that they wanted or needed the first time around?
I guess, what I'm getting at is: why extend all this blind faith and loyalty to a corporation?... I don't feel like I owe Sony Ericsson anything. If anything, Sony Ericsson owes me at least $600 to $700 worth of the newest tech in a brand new device whenever I buy it from them, instead of the same puked up stuff that they continue to recycle over and over again in each iteration of their handsets, year after year! Why settle for what they keep giving us and praise it as the best thing since sliced bread? More importantly, why won't Sony Ericsson listen to us? Why does Sony Ericsson continue to hide it's head in the sand while crapping out the same tired broken stuff while ignoring all of the blaring criticisms? I think Sony Ericsson could stand to learn a thing or two from the current market leader. In the meantime I'll continue to hold my breath and wait and see what happens by the end of the year before I make my ultimate decision on my next mobile phone purchase. If the W960 doesn't turn out to be a total disaster, then maybe Sony Ericsson will be lucky enough to get my hard earned $ again this next round. If not then maybe I'll jump ship and throw in my lot with Nokia. The N81 8GB or N95 8GB both sound decent enough, I'll wait and see what the reviews say in a month or two, as should you all for these prices...

Can you please explain what does "too powerful for me" means? Are you planning on wrestling with the phone?
You know what he means, per chance if you failed to understand his intent he meant he might not need smartphone capabilities.
And i'm sick and tired of this 'S60 is complex'.
I'm glad to hear that, if you're sick of hearing it you can visit either http://www.my-symbian.com or http://www.allaboutsymbian.com for your needs. (btw we're all sick of your whineing)
If you people call "anything different than SE UI" complex then change that habit of thinking.
Why should we?
N81 has a million times better screen, brilliant legibility in direct sunlight.
Million times? I wonder how you arrived at that result.
And all this from someone who uses one of Nokias biggest flops in history

First of all, i've never even heard you on these forums so i dont care if you're tired of my posts.
By million times, i didnt literally mean million, you didnt even get that?
Biggest flops? So? I like flips. None of the flips from nokia's are hits (N92, N90, N93i). I can safely say its better than you M600

It all depends on what a person is looking in a cell, a cell may have many apps and funcs, but if you dont use many of them then I would say yiu r wasting time buying high end cell phones |

no, but eldar has, and he said W960 has inferior sound quality than N81 and since we know W960 is better than W910 which means W910 has a much worse sound quality than N81. Get it?

^^I don't think I would base my choice of phone by reading just one review.
Read a couple more reviews and then decide, or better still, go into a store and have a go at both if you can.

no, but W910 is inferior to W960, and if W960 fails against N81 and automatically W910 fails too (sound quality wise).
@goldenface
i have not read any other review comparing W960 with N81.

Haha, N81 is one heck of a brick! 18mm and 140gr? NO THANKS.
And EIGHTEEN buttons just on the front? Talk about irrational designer thinking.
And how do you know, my Paki friend, that it's sound quality is inferior to that of W910? If you are still sticking with eldar's review, then I beg you not to speak about this matter any longer.
I wouldn't take a N81 even if you gave me the money to buy it. |

Well seeing how both N81 and W960i are not even released yet I don't see what the rush is to pick one right now is. At least wait until both have been reviewed a few times and then decide.
