Yes, and if "they" really know something, then they know that this revision is based on Hardware! And if even a little circuit has been exchanged then the revision will change!

Any company that has parts that can be changed, improved or otherwise manipulated will change/upgrade their particular hardware.

And by the way, the DPY digits are surely on the sticker inside the phone, last numbers behind the IMEI number!

1472/44 R12A EN 07w25 or was it w26?

Phone: CXC162037 R9G007
Bluetooth: CXC162058 R5A01

Anyway, some issues:
- Autofocus system has some problems focusing on certain occasions
- Media player shuts down (observed when WLAN & Opera are run while playing tunes)
- Has reset on me once or twice in the past two weeks that I've owned it

Overall, not a pretty bad experience.

Yes, I've found that it is waste of time to talk to the other support personnel. Even if they reply by email, I end up teaching them what the problem is
Are the technicians really working with P990? A friend's P990 started having a touch screen problem where the touch part doesn't work anymore. I've never heard of a software problem causing this so most likely it needs to go to the service center.
Added: After doing a fw upgrade I tested the screen using the service menu and indeed it has to go to a service center.

I found another VERY important factor that hasn't been brought into the light yet:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=152897&forum=35

Phone HAVE a different RAM and ROM size, depending on CDA Origin and DPY.

This factor has to be considered when looking at the Hardware Revisions. Its even more important and perhaps THE major point for Memory Related Issues!!!
