Just ordered the K800i on o2 retention dep. 200 xnet minutes and 50 texts for £15 per month and the phone is free. Suit me well cause I got 500 xnet minutes to use already! Need to call back again to place the order as the phone is currently not in stock at the moment!

Hi, ive just got off the phone from O2 they are still bloody useless but its not all that bad.

1st call, they said the phones not back in till start of july so phone back a week today.... ok bollox to that

2nd call, ahh yeh its in today but need to ring back after 12 so the system is updated and it can actually be ordered. this is fine so i also asked about my tarrifs!

so she did a deal for me, im still on a 12month contract (which is really what i want) 420 anytime minutes, 1000 txts, 35 quid a month, and when the K800 is in it will be a FREEBIE. so im pretty happy with that!!!

I`m due for upgrade now , the tariff im on atm is 200 anytime mins and 500 texts for £15 a month (thanks to o2 tariff thread from last year) . Am after K800i but they are quoting me 179.99 for upgrade cost!

I did phone retentions and said i was after more minutes a month and 3 were quoting me £15 a month for 500xnet mins 500 texts .o2 were offering me the same for £20 - Shall i just bargain with to try and get the phone cost down if stay with them ( as i am paying more) ?

My tariff is 500xnet 500txts for £8 a month.. and I never go over it really.

Rang twice and they have quoted £179.99 for the upgrade, I don't think they'll budge. I even said i'd leave... which I blatantly wont, but they couldn't give me a better price.

Anyone have any advice? Or should I just wait till it comes down in price?

I pre-ordered with O2 last week, im a new customer and went for the 18 month contract - 300 xmin + 750 txt for £30 pm = free phone... ideal for me as im on vodafone at the mo and my bills are extortionate.. i rang O2 today as the order tracking is not working online and the guy told me its out on the 28th......

OK, i just rand up, here's my story:

Said i'd been offered a deal with Orange for 400 mins and 1000 texts for £30 - he said they couldn't really match it.
The he said he could put me on an 18 month tariff for £30 and i'd get double mins and texts but I said I wasn't going to go on an 18-month tariff. I then said I was only interested in the k800 to which he said he could not give me for free - as there would be a charge of £49.99, but he'd do me a deal for £20 a month for 500mins and 500texts. I said that sounds slightly better (although I'd prefer more texts to be honest) - he then said he couldn't order it through until 7th July when the phone gets released!! Grrr - he told me to call back then. Any advice? Is the k800 available now? Maybe the retention people think it's not.

If I ring back, I think I'm gonna say I've rang orange and they'll do me the k800 for free! I don't really wanna pay £50 for it if I can help it

Called 02 again today to upgrade (normal customer care number) and was advised that whilst the phone is launched today, they couldn't do anything on the phone until they actually had them in stock. The woman I spoke said she could have sold dozens of them herself today had she been able to do so. She advised ringing again late on Wednesday and confirmed that they are likely to go quick once they are available.

Well O2 really don't like me. They still wanted £179.99 for the handset. It's insane. I know have my PAC code and I'm looking for somewhere else to go. Shame, that O2 are been silly. I can get the handset on the same traiff I have for £49.99 as a new customer.

Think I will transfer my number on to a pay as you go, and start a new contract, so will get Online 50, 50 mins + 200 text for £19pm, and £49.99 for the handset.

Ha har, I started me barter my mateys!

Is this a good deal for o2?

500 MINS X NET

100 TEXTS

FREE K800i

1MB FREE BROWSING.

£25.00 PM

I'm gonna try and get free video calling, but what do you guys think? I have spent on average around £60 per month over the last 12 months with them. Can I squeeze some more? This was done by charming a nice lady sales rep not the rententions department.....
