Yes, I am studying here, and I just can't stand this town, very depressing, raining, yada yada...

It's also not exactly fun walking in this town when crime here is just shooting up the graphs.

Is there any shop in LA that sells accessories? Didn't find any up to now. Live in West Hollywood (fairfax and third, close to farmers' market) and I am here because I am spending an internship and I wondered where at all I can find some cool accessories...
LA is beautiful, although too big for me with no car.

CALIFORNIA YOU HAVE THE MOST AMAZING WEATHER I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN NOVEMBER!!
It will be sad to go back

But, who knows

Anyway, thanks for any info. I would also like to go to a authorized dealer to clean my phone screen from the dust inside and maybe replace the keypad.
I know one can do it at home, but I'd prefer someone official to do it for me. Thanx

accessories in LA? Hmm, don't think so. Perhaps check in at a Cingular office and ask them, but I think it would be better for you just to order stuff online and delivered to your home (We have an excellent delivery service, and very cheap, hehe).

But as for a service point in and around LA, I don't think there is one, but maybe things have changed in the last 2 months...

And yes, get a car if you intend to be in LA long. Theres a lot of places to visit not just in LA, but outside of LA, and having a car, it's a lot more easier and faster

It's been a great summer this year (weather was great).. I prefer New Zealand weather IMHO - it rains from time to time yes, but for me - rain is good, keeps things green - Southern Cali is too dry (heck, at least it's consistent

pinolo77 - you tried the small wireless dealers in china town?

I have a non branded Sony that I just got back from the service center and they put a new firmware on it. I am thinking about selling it since I have two. It is factory unlocked and is in good condition except I took off the front screen printing that says Sony Ericsson that is on the blue part since it was looking kind of shabby. It came off realy easy with a bit of goof off. Make me an offer I cant refuse
. I have the factory box, manual, charger, batery, etc. Cheers!

ive had my T68 since last november i got it in monterey park for $180. If u want the newest phones go to almost any phone store there. They have mostly unlocked phones. My friend got the nokia 8390 there for $45 unlocked when it first came out wit 1 year contract. There is so much competition there thats y phones r so cheap. They take the money out of there comission n put it towards ur phone to give a good deal. So if they make like $200 comission from selling u a contract n phone they will use like $150 of it towards ur phone making ur phone cheaper. They can do this cuz they sell so many phones a day its unbelievable. You just have to know the right ppl n u can get it even cheaper. So i thought i would share it wit the rest of u.

Africa was great. When I landed in Africa it was seamless. My phone was immediatly on the Voda network. I didnt want to pay for roaming on Cingular so I whent to a Voda shop and bought a prepaid Sim for about 25.00us and got the sim card and a bunch of minutes. It was amazing how easy it was. Since I have a factory SonyEricsson non branded phone I have never had to unlock it since it came that way. A lot of shops in South Africa have the t68i phone. GSM is the in Africa. I saved a bunch of money doing it this way. No high cost hotel phone bills or roaming charges. When I ran out of minutes, I would just pop into a Voda shop and buy more minutes. I had to do it 2 times over the 13 days. The safari was incredible. If anyone here ever goes on safari, go to Exeter http://www.tagasafaris.co.za/exeter.htm

This link shows the actual room we stayed in. The bed and bath next to it is the room we stayed in.

Cheers.
