it doesnt matter how good your iCrap is, cause the battery wont last you 2 videos anyway
get the w900, or if you really want a dedicated media player get a creative zen visioim:m, theyre cheaper, have a better screen, support more codecs, have MUCH better tv output, have a battery that actually lasts the stated time, and dont keep hanging up
but i still say w900, even though i think theyre ugly

You got to be clear yourself. You have a mobile, mp3 player, camera all together or you get them individually. Dont got to question this.

Such an object opinion. Makes me want to listen to what you have to say. NOT!
The iPod battery lasts the stated times. In fact the 60 gig lasts longer than the 30 gig. Did you miss that part? Last time I checked, the Creative Zen has about 2% market share and falling. Seems that no one else is listening to you as well. You may not like the iPod and for sure it has its drawback like every other device out there but nothing comes close to the user experience. Apparently the market share proves this point.

60GB iPod stock have had their status changed to "At Risk" in Apple stores which means Apple can pull it any time in favour of a new model so anyone thinking of buying an iPod might want to wait!
Sadly it could be as late as February next year before the 6th Generation model hits the stores, but it is coming. |

It makes me laugh reading some of the posts here. Has everyone forgotten that Apple them selfs have launched an Ipod phone in the form of the Motorola Itunes phones and there utter c*** compared to the Walkman phones. And let's not forget that Apple are rumoured to be working on an Ipod/ Phone combo made by themselves.
So when you can have a phone with 30GB storage, and Ipod player, scroll wheel, camera, games playing etc is it going to be a stupid ALL IN ONE device or will you use that much space and all those gadgets and hail the phone cause it's made by Apple?
Personally I think Apple should leave the mobile market well alone as it's crowded enough at the moment and there Itune's Motorola's are a waste of space. |

Apple was going into the MVNO market and this caused analyst to think that they will develop/market an Apple branded phone. However, as anyone who has been around Apple knows, they are moving towards being a media company. This combines known hardware (for them) and software (they make their own). It does not seem realistic that Apple will put out the zillions of dollars it takes to develop and market a phone.
The Motorola phone was more a Motorola fiasco than Apples. Who made the phones? Survey says: Motorola. Not Apple. There is a big difference. Motorola made crap and no one bought them.

So, that will only cost you £24.99 x 60 = £1,499.40 to reach the same capacity as an 60gb iPod, and you'll be swapping 60 memory cards around in your pocket forever! |

I think the Apple Motorola fiasco was more to do with Apple. On all reviews of the phones there were dammin comments about the strict limit of tunes you could put on the phones which was down to the Itunes software.
Also in most Apple rumour sites and sites like T3 and Stuff Magazine they have mentioned rumours several times about a phone being developed and made by Apple themselves. Weather they will make or one or not remains to be seen but they have had fancy fantasy phone mock up's made before by there designers.

don't matter how much memory or battery power the i-pod has, my w900i keeps me reachable to my family...so the bottomline is that the w900i is an all in 1 value for money practical gadget...scr*w the f*cking i-pod & stfu.

Such an intellect. Good to see the school system is coming along in the trailer park. As someone compared before. An iPod is not a phone. It is a media device. A w900i is a phone that happens to play media as well. Just for you, and you being mentally challenged, I will break it down for you. You have two cars. A Volkswagon Golf, and the other a Porsche 911 S4. Both are automobiles. Are you still with me? The VW will carry your groceries, the laundry, pick up the kids, all in the same trip, while the Porsche will go from A to B very fast with little room for anything else. You see, but cars are specialized for a specific purpose and they both do it well. So you the buyer have the option to get an all-arounder (VW), or an extremely specialized car (Porsche) that does only one or two things well. At the end of the day, the option is your. By the way, the owner of the Porsche more than likely has another car or two at home just to do the things the VW can do.
Please write back if I went to fast. Next time I will try and have pictures for you.

Well it would depend on which "analyst you believe. If you read iLounge, you get a different story. Actually they had two similar and dissimilar stories running at the same time. I can see Apple moving into the MVNO space. Nothing much to do. Buy some SIM chips, brand them, sell them. Get the bandwidth as well and away you go.
As for the Motorola phone, Apple supported it but I do not seem them behind it 100%. iTunes is their cash cow. Downloads over the air was not a viable biz model for them. They want people in the online store. OTA music downloads was a way for the operators to make money and they naturally went with Motorola, as they did not have a deal. Nokia phones had and still have that crappy Real Player, while SE has he deal with Sony and its resources. Motorola was left out in the cold. So please show me the upside for Apple here. If Apple thought there was money to be made, they would have pushed harder, but you can see that Apple phone has all but died out.
