Im selling my blue K850i, its brand new and still in box, is the replacement for the one with brod i want the green version but t-mobile dont do green!
So once ive sold it will buy a green one.
Any takers.
I got my green one on T-Mobile from the carphone warehouse, but if you're still in a contract thats not an option, But its deff reccomended.
I like mine, apart from the fact that the paint is coming off the keys!
I didn't see anywhere that had the black one on upgrades, but you could still have a look on their website and see if they can do anything for you, AFAIK thats the only store in the uk where you can get the black and green version, unless you go sim free of course.

I still think a lot of this has to do with build quality within the hardware versions.
I have a canadian phone from rogers and the 4 others I know who have upgraded to 31 are incident free so far for the last 2 months.
I have had the odd reboot here and there (about 4 total) but it is always when i am heavily multi tasking. I have also noticed that since I put all my themes on the phone instead of the media card that I have not had a single reboot. |

I also have the BROD syndrom, since i updated to the latest firmware,
but due to the fact that i live abroad, i still have to wait another month to use my guarantee and have it fixed/replaced. I do wonder though if SE has a permanent fix, on that problem, is there a possibility for this problem to return??

However, if you have anything set to happen at startup, whether it be a startup picture, video, or even the SIM lock code request, it gives the phone just that much more time to initialize, and no theme resets happen.
People who turn off their SIM card protection almost deserve problems with their phone. That's just bad security. |

maybe, just maybe BROD dosent appear on DPY flashed K850 (R1EA031) ???
i have no restarts, no BROD....can someone who have DPY flashed their K850 with latest FW confirm if that so ??????
i get the feeling that BROD/restarts comes via SEUS,

when I had R1EC001 FW, the HSDPA option disappeared after the first sudden reboot - couldn't do anything to bring it back

Flashed my phone with French generic 31 (I had apac-anz when I got BROD last night) because it takes less space due to the fact it only has 2 languages (Eng & Fre). I also took out the m2 card before flashing and have not inserted it in yet, going by the theory that BROD may somehow be cause by the card.
Since the flash last night, I found the phone to be faster, noticebly faster. From loading at start up, to scrolling through phone book, to browser loading, to scrolling through menus, I mean everything. I have no idea idea why but it can only be 2 things: either the FW is smaller and more efficient (its about 7-8 mb less than the apac-anz I had) or this memory card is the culprit, I think the phone needs to access the card all the time and that can slow it down as well. Its the same phone using the same davinci flash so there is no other viable explanation I can think of.
I will post updates if anything happens. I am almost starting to like my phone again and a bit afraid to insert the card to even copy everything to my computer. If it is the m2 card then it's sad that SE can't figure it out, it's their own card.
Let me ask this question, those that had BROD, which card were you using, the one that came with the phone or was the card upgraded? |
