Or maybe there was microphone to usb and could not be seen. I do not think microphone on phone would ever perform same compared to an external. |

The Sony STM-10 mic is what I used it before, it just plugs into the 3.5mm jack.

I found mine recently, doesn't work on my Pro-I sadly. Sometimes it picks up there's a microphone plugged in but then there no sound recorded.
