What should i do? Exchange for a new K850i or a completly different Phone?
I'd accept the replacement phone, and keep monitoring this and other forums to see when SE fixes their firmware. But I've seen people defending their G800 photo quality, so it is a option if you decide to change.
In the end, it's your choice, so do as you would choosing a new phone - check forums and reviews for comparisons, complains from users, etc. |

What puts me off the samsung is the headphone connecter u cant use ur own headphones on it due to the connector so u will be stuck with poor quality ones supplied.
Anyway thats getting off topic but can someone comment on the build quality of the newer k850s compared to the first ones that came out when the phone was first released.

It appears from your info you have an unbranded phone, you could reflash it via http://www1.davinciteam.com/firmwares.html if you do descide to use this service then use the same cda as your current firmware.

you can't use your own headphones with the k850 either :S
anyway, mine's working fine since when i bought it 4 months ago. was vodafone branded but i debranded it just a couple of days back and updated via seus to 031 firmware. never had any serious problems. photos were dark previously but that's now been fixed. marble madness wouldn't work on the vodafone firmware but works perfectly on the generic one. |

just upgraded to 031 (from 038) via SEUS - will see what's gonna happen - if I have BROD again, I'll stay with 038 until new FW is released 
K850i is like Kinder Surprise - every day is different! :| |

yes u can cos the connector allowes u to put different headphones in, the headphones on the samsung are moulded into the connector so u cant use standard headphones |

Sell your K850, get another phone, start living your life.
I was, until recently, a K850 owner/user. Eventually got fed up of reading page after page after page of guesses, predictions and hopes here. And we all know how useless it is waiting for Sonys firmware.
Since sold the phone and now have no reason to look here and it feels like a huge weight has been lifted. I've got my life back. I recommend to everyone not happy with their K850 the same, get rid and start living your life. Tim. |

I never had any bug with the K850 but if the BROD is present in all FW,it's really scary!
