Is it possible that the R1EA031 random reboots happens only with K850i with Generic Main? Because I haven't experienced it at all. Mine is CHINA MAIN. |

China can be generic or branded. Area is irrelevant. If you have no customizations set up by a carrier then you should be generic. |

I know for sure that mine is generic. CHINA MAIN with APAC-ANZ custpack, of CDA 1201-8437 of Indonesia Velvet Blue. It has NO random reboots at all! That's why I wonder whether such a combo plays an important part in this 'random restarts' presence. |

APAC-ANZ is not a customization, its an area, like Central-Europe, Eastern-Europe, etc. It stands for Asia-Pacific and Australia New Zealand. I have that same FW from Davinci and I had 3 or 4 reboots I think in just over a month. Haven't had a single reboot in the first 3 weeks then they started popping up at random. |

The FW is not stable. Does not matter of fullflash with Davinci or not. Region does not matter either. |

I don't wait for it to reboot, I pull the battery out and restart.
An issue no-one else seems to have is BestPic sometimes take the same photo 9 times. This seems to occur a little less often on 39. I use BestPic a lot and it is quite a frequent problem.
This phone certainly isn't good at multi-tasking.
That is an EXCELLENT way to brick your phone by the way - interrupting a reboot cycle by pulling the battery is a big no-no. Glad it hasn't happened to you as of yet but I'd recommend against it, not to mention the phone typically recovers from its rebooting fit much faster than an initial boot. |

guyz i updated to R1EA031 on Feb 22 and the only prob i had was the reduced battery time.
i re-updated (by selecting continue anyway option on SEUS) last tuesday.
and hey! now the battery life is same as on the R1CA037 (very good). I charged it on Wednesday night. Made & recieved calls, sms. used music&video player and captured a few snaps and now after more than 3 days i still have 21% battery left.
So i'll suggest u all who updated on 21st, 22th of Feb to reupdate it..(if u're not happy with the battery)
EDIT: I didn't get a single reboot since last reupdate.
Now i'm happy but sill want a new firmware which could make the media faster.

Well All,
today I decided to say goodbye to my k850i for good. I was never greatly impressed, then I came to like it, but eventually became irritated by it again.
Today I brought home a W890, I dont need the cybershot (not that it took great pics anyway), and Im more than happy. Fast, slim, with a really good build quality (brushed metal).
The k850i was supposed to be so much more. Its a shame.
I LOVE my new W890.
All the best |

Well thats that then.....Reading a text then phone froze, blank screen....Thought it was acting as normal and about to reset. Haha! Nope, not this time. I had to turn it off - Then from there I knew it was over.
Dead!!! BROD etc etc!
Something says to me these resets are related to the amount of pressure your phones OS is under. I.e lots of texts, musics, pics etc....Something buffer related I bet.
So, everyone says flash it via Dav' etc to a previous F/W - Now Im thinking, has anyone tried a normal debrand and had success or does it have to be a full 50 euro flash.
Im tempted to try it if no1 else has.....I'm soar about my numbers right now I tell ya. Might aswel give it a try....Nothing to lose!I have got a back up, but its not all that recent - A few peeps are going to just have to ring me I guess |

It's 10 Euro to flash, not 50. You can't fix BROD by debranding... |
