So many phones? I can't believe it. I think SE anounce only Emelie, Z780i and W780i. |

Lol he won't correct you or anything. He does not even know for sure. He may be more informed than most of us, but PK does not decide when things are announced. I don't know, but its likely he doesn't get told when things will be announced either. Am I right there PK?

There were at least that many announced last month. It's not too far of a stretch, though some of those models I don't think are ready.

Here's my opinion. It may be somewhat uninformed, but its what I think right now.
P5 - not yet
Beibei - will be announced
Shihio - will be announced
KXX- Emilie - will be announced
Z780I - does not exist, at least with this name.
W780i - does not exist(was simply a Vodafone mistake).

No...UIQ 3.3 is the intermediate version i said some time ago, and is based on Symbian 9.3 (like s60 v3 fp2)...UIQ4 will be based on symbian 9.5, and AFAIK will only be announced close to the end of 2008
Regarding demand paging...well...for phones with plenty of RAM, that is not really an issue

So there IS a UIQ 4?
But if it does exist and won't be announced until the end of the year...that doesn't bode well for Paris if it's supposed to be based on that platform...unless they'll pull an X1 and not allow people to use the interface.
Oli: Makes sense, I think, though of course I would like Paris to be announced ASAP. |

According to this (the G700 part):

the successor of P1 (P_whatever?) should be "a new super-phone" and will appear in the next 3 - 4 months.
And also:
"There will be more additions to this series (G-series meant) in the future – some of them are nothing out of the ordinary on paper, yet have what it takes to shake the market in a big way. In fact, these are the devices that Sony Ericsson will be increasing its market share with – the lull of the first half of 2008 will turn into a storm very soon."

I know you're not asking me, but in my opinion, it's because you still have the proto, right? You and SE are still testing it, right? Therefore...not ready. But I hope Oli and I are very wrong.

Partially as laurenke01 said, because I believe its still being tested. And I don't mind that. May as well get it right. Also, I have heard too many people say it will be released later in the year. Of course I hope I am wrong!
