Anyone knows how to "cure" BROD?

BROD- Blue Ring Of Death. When the K850 dies on you, leaving only the light up effect on the camera window.

Still no update for T-mobile UK branded handsets.

I am beginning to think T-mobile may not have passed this new FW. When the previous FWs were released T-mobile updates were available quickly, a long time before Vodafone. This firmware is not available on T-mobile but is now available on Vodafone according to a previous post.

I think I am going to give this FW a miss - i'll wait until a new one is available. My current T-mobile FW (38) has not once crashed, ever!

@Inquisitor only by flashing with 3rd party software or taking it/sending to SE center.

@james I had the T-mobile uk 38 as well... dont switch, 31 is not much faster but will give you probs. Only noticeable differences are: camera slightly better, battery life better, and media player/viewer slightly faster.

. . . does any one know when the 038 firmware will come for O2, as I'm not too keen on using flashers

It's already out, I used SEUS to go from 37 to 38 as soon as it came out. Ive since gone to 31. I'm on a std O2 contract.

For those who have BROD:

I called SE Service Center about it, they asked me to pay $100.00 for a fix because I flashed my firmware once before (so my warranty was void).

But then there was the second option, to pay get it fixed through 3rd party and pay roughly 10 Euros.

There is no way of fixing BROD once you get it... hopes this helps

Thats weird, i'm on an O2 phone (with a t-mobile sim, came unlocked) and over-air and through seus it is up to date, even though i know, when did this update come out for you?

I woke up this morning and my screen is dying up on me while using it (but the keypads are lit). I have to wait for the key lights to go off, key in something, and there's my screen alive for a couple of seconds, then it dies again. Is this a bug of the new firmware? I still havent dropped my fone yet or anything like that.

i don't think that's a firmware bug, you should take your phone to a service center.

I used SEUS on my PC to upgrade and did it within a day or so of it being released. If you do it over the air you may get a large data bill (depending on your contract!). I think the over the air update my be different to the on-line update- I remember it never worked on my K800. If you've got access to a PC I think that'll be a better option.

What about the HPM-82 and the new R1EA031 firmware? With the R1CA037 firmware my HPM-82 doesn't work at all..
