If you debrand your phone with the Customized UK/Blue firmware or change CDA you should be able to update to 031. I've got 031 and it's great! .

Just updated to 39 (3 Aust) from 37.

Observations so far:
- Slight performance improvement. Media player still feels slow.
- New image transition effect in media player.
- New 'List options' menu item in message options menus.
- When starting camera in View mode shutter no longer opens (but it remains open if switching to View mode after Photo/Video mode).
- Main menu icons changed for Video calls and Call list.
- Settings menu under Camera automatically pops up when you scroll across, whereas you used to have to press Select.

updated to 31 via SEUS. seems good, but it looks like restarts are more frequent in this fw.

had about 5-6 restarts since update (around 5 days ago).
- when pressing back from music media menu
- when browsing the web using opera mini
- when using gmail app

how about you guys?

I flashed my K850i via www.kulankendi.com the other day. I chose R1CA037 as it had the same CID 52 as my phone although Kulan Kendi has already had R1EA031 which was unfortunately CID 110--so it didn't match. The update went successfully. I picked up CDA 1201-8437, my original APAC ANZ customisation. The flash process took about 12 minutes. It was a success. Then I ran SEUS and got R1EA031. No restarts at all. The phone is very stable. No doubt about it.

Just wonder why people get so many troubles with the phone??

Buy a credit at www.kulankendi.com.
Run KK Client (Not KK MultiClient), enter your login and password. Click download. I suggest to download R1CA037 APAC ANZ CID 52 files, which consists of R1CA037 CHINA MAIN CID 52.min and R1CA037 APAC-ANZ CID 52.fsm files.. On the client, change CDA into 1201-8437. That CDA is the working CDA which is always recognised successfully by SEUS. Follow the KK Client instructions carefully. Don't forget to browse through the website to get to know how to do it correctly.

After the update is completed, run SEUS and you will get the new R1EA031. Good luck.

Guys im noticing that all the people who flashed to 37 then updated to 31 are having issues, just flash straight to 31 and skip all the useless steps in the middle. Remember sues does not do a full flash so there could be some minor incompatibilities.

It kinda like when you go to vista, you dont upgrade you do a clean install.

OK, i'm not keen on flashing yet. Reading through the CDA number seems to determin if you can update or not.
I was wondering if there is a way through SEUS, to crack the program so it ignores the CDA number. Or, is there any way to know if a newer firmware will be released for this CDA number.
Thanks,
harry

First post made mobile! This is some incredible phone. Mine is still branded but very stable, thus far. This firmware was released just before the current R1E.

No doubt, R1EA031 is a good firmware but the only problem i'm facing is the reduced standby battery time.
On 037 it was 4-5 days(with pretty usage) and now only 2-3 days hardly (even with no use at all).

I hope SE will provide us with a new firmy with better standby time and more fast Media player as it still lags in browsing menu's while media is playing. And scrolling through songs, artists, albums is also a bit slow while listening the music. And if we use BT audio streaming then the phone becomes really sluggish.
