paul-d - I've just had the Exact same problem. I was actually using my phone (031 firmware) trying to get directions using google map and then it just stopped responding. All I could see was that the keyboard was lit up and nothing else. After I left it like that for a few minutes I tried pushing some buttons but nothing would make it do anything so I had to pull the battery out. After leaving it with no battery for a a bit I put the battery in and tried to start it up - all I get now is the keypad is lit up and the Blue Ring of death.... SEUS won't update it because after staying at 0% for a minute it errors out My problem is that I bought the phone online with no contract so I have no provider to call for support I really REALLY wish SE would release a more reliable phone! This is absolutely absurd.

Tervel I've just had the exact same problem. I was on a call when the phone just died, vibrated and then the keypad at the "Blue Ring of Death" was lit up. Doesn't matter what you do with the phone, it just stays like that. Turning the on/off button does nothing. Only way to get the phone to turn off is to take the battery out. I'm back to using my old reliable k800 now, which is annoying. I've been using the latest -031 firmware and up until this point haven't had any issues whatsoever (not even any restarting... nothing, except for the general slowness of the phone and the poor implimentation of Bluetooth audio), then today I had two unusual restarts before this complete failture. I'm having the same problems re: SEUS. Did you end up finding a solution?

I just got the same problem today when the phone was only on the table. The phone doesn't response at all and only thing i see is the keypad with lights on. I tried to update it with SEUS but the updating process stops immediately after 0%. I have tried to turn it off by taking the battery out but nothing seems to help. Next I'll try to take the battery out at least for 30 minutes and if that doesn't help I'll have to contact the service. If someone has a solution for this problem please let me know.

Since updating to R1EA031 my phone has been fine. It's been about two weeks, but today my phone restarted twice and reverted to the O2 theme both times. The firmware is not flawless.

What was the last phone your MicroSD card was used in?
Also was it encrypted in a previous phone such as a BlackBerry? If so then no OTHER phone would recognize it at all until the encryption is removed by the ORIGINAL phone that created it. I already tested this with a MicroSD in my older BB Pearl, encrypted and no other phone (Samsung sliders/flips, TYTN I/II) could read or recognized the card EVEN through USB connection to WinXP SP2.

Yeah I just got my branded SE K850i (Rogers Wireless) and its already there. Even in standby to press the volume key up/down gives me the status screen jsut like my Trusty ol K790a.

This K850i is supreme. Sorry for others with non performing firmware.
Try "continue anyway" on SEUS. If still failed, you may have a Customized CDA from either DaVinci or Wotan servers that is Incompatible with your phone. Check the stadnard CDA to match your firmware and load that.

What you mean by "clock is back in standby mode"???
you've to press the volume keys to view the "time".
there isn't any option to enable the clock in sleep mode.
