Oops, I could have sworn I was able to record video on the left menu where you share the vids. I guess there is no other way |

@Vlad83,
yes u can. Try videocalling a number that doesnt accept video calls (ie answerphone) or a number thats engaged.
a menu will come up saying
Video call failed
Make Voice Call
Send Video msg
Retry Video call.
The second option "Send Video Msg" will open the front camera full screen where u can record a video. it will be saved in a mms which u can send on.
I want to know if u can do this anotherway?
PS WILL UPLOAD SOME PICS OF THIS ASAP

One thing that I wonder about ... I'm not positive, but I think my phone originally started crashing a lot more frequently after I switched the phone to push e-mail then back to check every 30 minutes. I wonder if some of my crashes were related to checking for e-mail ... It certainly felt like it was crashing every 30 minutes. Anyway My fingers are crossed that I'll enjoy some crash free time for a while.
I'm also using Push email and I can't attribute the crashes to the checking on interval instead of push, but I was wondering that you said that you had it set to check every 30min - I only have the options for check every 1hr, 4 hours, 12, 24, 3 days, 7 days. The most stupid options for checking email in my opinion. How did you set yours to check every 30min? I would like to set it to check every 15 even if I can because Push can be a bit of a drain on the battery...

Mine's able to be set on check every 5mins, 30mins, 60mins, 2hrs, 4hrs, 12hrs, 24hrs...
And for the camera, I think it's best if the image stabiliser isn't on.. As the info pop-up says "picture resolution may be slightly reduced". |

blurry ????????????
njaaa, not blurry, the opposite...most people i speak with use stabilzer on all time (except on flash pics)
the resolution can sometimes get little smaller, (because it compress the pixels ).
the quality dosent get worse.

You mean the size right?, resolution is X pixels * Y pixels and if that got smaller it wouldn't be 5MP so that can't be right!

Well my K850i has died today! It started on 037 fw which was looking back pretty damn good, then onto the 038 fw which had terrible battery life and a few issues with speed etc but nothing too bad then I made the mistake of changing to the 031 fw. It seemed ok for the 1st few days, the battery life was better than 038 and the media player was faster but that’s where it ended. It started resetting itself for no reason at all, the screen would go blank and the keypad would stay lit up then after about 10seconds it would come back on. Also on one occasion while the phone was sitting doing nothing it decided to change the theme to the standard O2 theme by itself from laser precision (maybe it didn't like my choice??).
This morning the phone had come off charge and was on my desk, it then vibrated once and the screen turned off and the keypad stayed lit and that was the end of it. The only way to turn it off was to remove the battery, I tried putting the fw on it again via seus but this made no difference so I called O2. I spoke to a helpful fella there who as soon as I said the words K850i and fault told me to post it back to them and they would despatch a replacement in 24hrs, he didn't even want to know what’s the problem was as they have had more than a few returned with various faults. Good service from them.......bad service from SE though.
The question is though do I want another K850i or should I see if I could get something else??
(happily back to using my w810i at the moment)

i said LITTLE smaller...... what i understand so have k850 a digital IS (Image Stabilization), who sometimes change the resolution a little bit....it compress the image in some way.
or maybe k850 have a real IS...i dont know ???
a real IS is a little lens in the middle and is moved by a spinning gyroscope thingy to counteract your movement. (a motion sensor talks to a microprocessor in the lens, the microprocessor talks to a servomotor, a servomotor guides the gyroscopic stabilizers to counteract the movement).

The resolution does not get smaller. Not even a LITTLE.
Digital image stabilization is used in some video cameras. This technique shifts the electronic image from frame to frame of video, enough to counteract the motion. It uses pixels outside the border of the visible frame to provide a buffer for the motion.

wikipedia says:
"However, image stabilization does not prevent motion blur caused by the movement of the subject or by extreme movements of the camera. Image stabilization is only designed for and capable of reducing blur that results from normal, minute shaking of a lens due to hand-held shooting. Some lenses include a secondary panning mode or a more aggressive 'active mode', both described in greater detail below under optical image stabilization." |

Am I the only one here whos K850 is working perfect? On 031 and been upgrading since 029 and never ever had a problem! I use it all the time all day and night, calling txtn mmsin browsin and yea, works a dream! Despite the comparrisons with other phones and the colour differences etc, I still have pics printed and they look great! Very real. With the sun behind you the pics look absolutely perfect. Better than my old 5mp cybershot Digital camera and honestly just as nice as my Cannon 7mp.
I guess its a lottery on gettin a good peice of hardware? Batch etc? Im 07w43!

paul-d - I've just had the Exact same problem. I was actually using my phone (031 firmware) trying to get directions using google map and then it just stopped responding. All I could see was that the keyboard was lit up and nothing else. After I left it like that for a few minutes I tried pushing some buttons but nothing would make it do anything so I had to pull the battery out. After leaving it with no battery for a a bit I put the battery in and tried to start it up - all I get now is the keypad is lit up and the Blue Ring of death.... SEUS won't update it because after staying at 0% for a minute it errors out My problem is that I bought the phone online with no contract so I have no provider to call for support I really REALLY wish SE would release a more reliable phone! This is absolutely absurd. |
