@plankgatan
One major bug that many(not all, but many) of us have is the random reboot issue. AND it didn't unfortunatley go away after a proper flash that i did (NOT via SEUS)

@oracle86
I, for one, can't full heartedly recommend the new -31 just yet. I do really like the touch vibration-response option that has come with the firmware, and i love the sound of the new media player (but i think you have to play mp3:s that ar ripped in a good quality, preferably at 192 kbps, to get the most of it) I can't say that i think that the new firmware has made the camera any better but i haven't tested it that much yet You can check out my latest shots with the new firmware at the "post your pics taken with K850" thread(not sure of the excact name of the thread just now) But i really don't think that the new firmware has made the camera worse. Not in my case anyway.

AND i have too see how many often my phone randomly reboots before i can say that i am fairly satisfied with the new firmware. I had two reboots that i noticed so far and i have had the new firmware in about 5 days.

Tip: If you can't wait to get the firmware on SEUS and can spare 10 euro's you can check out Da Vinci team's page(and others) if they might have your version of the new firmware yet. You also get a more thorough flash at Da Vinci.

someone else please comment abt battery life on the new firmy...

I was on 038 firmware before, and because of my very low usage (few calls, usually just on standby), would last about 5 days.

After flashing to 031, battery life seems to be worse... After upgrading, and doing a full charge, lasted about 3 days. Last night i did another full charge to 100%, disconnected the charger at 6am this morning, and checking the phone now at 11pm, it says 71%, even though i haven't used it at all today and its just been on standby ...

I don't know what you mean by- the restarts/reboots are not firmware related when you point to that post. It doesn't mentione the REboots, just mention the NONbooting phones.

sorry if i pointed you to just the page here is a link pointing to the specific post

Well it's (the random reboot -bug)still a bug even though i may be situated in the file system rather then the firmware. They should be able to fix this too! And i'm not excactly sure that the post you are pointing to, actually excplains why the phone randomly reboots. It could, in my humble opinion, just as well be trying to explain why a java application won't start up at all. I say this because i don't see anything really reffering to the random reboot issue in the comming post. Or am i reading it wrong?

And for me, flashing via SEUS to the -37 didn't solve the "operation failed bug" Quite the opposite: In fact, i got that bug when flashing to -37 from the -29.

I call them "restarts" and not reboots in my FW mini-review, i explain them in number 4 and then list them as a CONs for the new FW

i double checked the link, but anyways. i completely agree that phone should be more stable. BTW i have not had any single "restart" since i RE-Updated my phone with SEUS. i will keep postin if i find anything.

Hi guys I've just had a new k850i 2 days ago I've read numerous problems about them. I haven't had any software problems no crashes or turning its self off and on. But i can be quite fussy when it comes to phones, I've noticed when im using most button especially the d-pad up down left and right it causes the screen to distort as if u were pressing hard onto the screen it kind of makes the colors bleed as im using the keypad i no its a touch screen so the screen is sensitive but does anybody else's screen do this when using some of the buttons to?

I would do a full back up, pop it back in the box and take it back for an exchange. Wouldnt put up with that! haha. 28 days is the normal max time to get an exchange.

random reboots ???? i have never have one single reboot !!! and thats the true.

so that cant be some major bugg in 031....its seems that someone has it, and someone dosnt have it. (if it should be a major bugg, i think most of the people should have it).

Chalk another one up here for the reboot brigade. I went into my email inbox and it restarted. It's the only time it has done that though, so it's not a major issue for me. Besides, I've had reboots on all the phones I've owned; it's normal.

I'd say that there is a Very good portion of the users here that have experienced the random reboot, myself including, since going to 031. My phone reboots at least twice daily, sometimes twice in a row. Most of the time I have something running when it happens, but not always. Today (about 30min ago) I had Opera mini open and was browsing the news when I set down my phone because my dinner had arrived (restaurant) and when I looked at it next - the keypad was light up, the screen blank and a few moments later the screen came back with searching. My opera was naturally gone at this point. It also happened to me twice while I was listening to music with my DS980 BT headphones - all of the sudden they went quite and when I looked at my phone - it was rebooting... This is DEFINITELY firmware related. Perhaps firmware + a certain batch of hardware, but firmware non-the-less. Maybe we should start a repository of manufactured week/year of the units that are rebooting?

Hello all, I've the K850i and with the previous FW (37) I didn't have any issues, except the quality of indoor photos when the flash didn't fire. Unfortunately there is no "always on" option in the flash. After upgrade to 31 I'm still happy with the performance, maybe it's a little bit faster, but I noticed a "bug". When I'm connecting the phone to my PC with USB, RSS Feeds are trying automaticaly to update! I don't know if it is a bug or just changed behaviour, if any of you has more about this pls inform me.
P.S. I'm not interested about RSS so I've all of them "off".

@tonchy

So do you mean that i should re-flash my phone with SEUS in a special kind of way? Please explain! But i doubt this would change anything for me as far as the random reboot issue is considered since i allreade have done a -31 flash at Da Vinci and that is a more "total" and complete flash. Well that's what i'm thinking anyway.

My phone is build:
