did u try with the new FW?
no, because I don't want to update to the new firmware, because of the reboots and the battery(I am very satisfied with the battery on my R1CA037).
Did you tried it on your R1EA031 and it works?
just downloaded it and tried. guess what it WORKS!!!.. i use to use it on my k800 i guess i will start using it again. i don't wan to pay again though.

Yeah!!
Fixed the Blue Ring of Death problem myself by downdating the phone thru DaVinci to R1CA037. Some things to mention about that:
- The phone REALLY needs to be charged FULLY!! (Even when i tried flashing with the chargercable between phone and data cable it didn't do the trick)
- Update from a 'real' Windows PC. Earlier i flashed the phone with my Macbook (With XP virtual used under Parallels Desktop) and it failed.
It costs me 10 euro, but everything is working fine at the moment (Still at R1CA037) Now i will try to update to R1EA031 and give a follow-up on that.
Update @19:20CET: Updated to R1EA031 via SEUS: Everything is working properly. Even all the menu options are back. So for the people experiencing a Blue Ring of Death symptom and are willing to spend 10 euros on it: Give it a try (you can't destroy a lot more )

@capuera:
It have to be installed using JAD file. Inside this file must be this line:
SEMC-StandbyApplication: Y
If you have cracked version ( ) without JAD file then you can use application called JADMaker to make one for you. Add the line mentioned above into JAD file and it should work.

Transfer JAD and JAR file into folder called Other. In file manager select JAD file and press "Install".

Why are all of you downgrading to 37 through davinci then updating through SEUS to 31? Davinci already has 31 so you can do a complete flash at once. Thats like wanting to reinstall Vista so you install xp then upgrade to vista through the upgrade disc.
BTW, I did just that and havent had a problem with reboots and I have the little arrows next to the name in the phone book, some were complaining that they disappeared.

My phone just switched off again 2 mins ago, was on the arm of chair when all the lights came on and then it switched off completely.
switched it back on at top button and it went straight to home screen and searched for network, no SE loading screen,or flight mode option, weird. |

No need for JAD file. it works without it. only JAR is needed.
EDIT: no need of JAD if you send JAR to phone via bluetooth or in "phone mode" connection type. i believe win.ini is right if you are using mass strorage and then installing manually. not sure.
