My phone died yesterday, three days after update. When switching on the phone, only the keypad and blue ring around the camera are illuminated, nothing else happens. To be funny: Let's call it Blue Ring of Death (thx, Watercoolertje)
It seems there are more K850's dying on this firmware (regarding Dutch Tweakers.net forum), some directly after flashing, some a few days later.

Another thing I noticed today is in the phonebook when you open a contact that has a two word name the phone will display the first name and the surname will be underneath in a smaller font.
Don't remember the old fw doing that.
It looks nice!
It is the same in R1CA037 |

Well, i sent a email to SE and this is the response (spanish).
Well, they say thant the FW update are ONLY for optimize the experience with Operators (Orange, movistar, etc) . And that the unbranded phones in spain dont need to be upgraded...

I miss that effect what used to be in Media Player when you open a picture in photo viewer, the picture would scale-in to fullscreen and when you close it scale-out. Now when you open a picture it just appears across the full screen.

Not sure why you have listed them as the exclusive third party update service. I mean they would be my last choice, IF I ever gave them another chance (read sig) but otherwise how about TMS, DaVinci or KulanKendi? Since you're adding third party, would you add these as well? |

I don't think Wotan Server supports K850i yet. Only DaVinci Team and Total GSM that i know of.

Still waiting for a firmware update from Three UK. Preferably this R1EA031 firmware. I'm still stuck on 029. I seem to remember 3 being very slow on the K800 too. |

@tonchy - thanks for the pros/cons posts - very helpful. I used to get lots of random reboots (even when the phone was in my pocket doing nothing, I just felt it vibrate on reboot) with 029 so don't want to go back to that. There's nothing major enough in the pros for me to give up stability for so I think I'll just stay on 038 for now.

SO WHO'S PHONES STOPPED WORKING AFTER A FEW DAYS AFTER THE NEW FW UPDATE?
what I mean is the phone won't boot up at all.
all that happens is the keypad lights up. completetly f**ked.
oh yeah i'm the one who reported the red LED on the power button, who all got this since the new FW then?
Mine's died and took it to get repaired. They are going to take 2 weeks. |

Finally my phone have the new FW onboard. But the only bug i have is the mutlimedia backgroudnd dissapears when going to landscape mode.About battery i can't tell anything because i have new FW from three hours maybe.I also use the SETool Box to pack on my phone W910 sound drivers and in my honest opinion the new FW has better sound quality.I just downgraded my 038 to 037 with good CDA and then plug him into SEUS ,on first start his turn off itself but now i am very hapy with new FW,but it's still not this what i wan't
