LMAO OF COURSE I KNOW THAT I AM USING A K850i XD yes i know what has happened. I unplugged the phone from my computer during Mass Storage mode. this has corrupted the Erom. i have just spent hours of googling "red LED k850 boot up, ...etc" & yes the red LED is on right now. It is in a completely unusable state.
I can use Davinci to flash this & apparantly it will fix it. only thing tho. its free to use the flash service for erom but you need to pay to get an account :S
I am so shocked too because when doing a service test a month ago, this red LED did not turn on, so i know its hard for you to beleive me. *suggestion* break your k850i too LOL
i really think it would do it no harm not using "safe Removal" from Windows Vista, but there yu go, be careful folks!
anyway im jus goin to shell out the £8 for davinci cos i cant be f**ked with SE's nonsense, they will send it off & probably wont see it for another 3 weeks.
apparantly SE charged someone £55 for getting their k800 fixed for this same issue.
wish me luck lol
PS: For anyone that doesn't know where on the phone this Red LED is:
it is the Power button on Top of the k850 itself.

Can't believe how many problems people are reporting with the new firmware. I've noticed none at all with mine. If the camera was actually any good then I would go so far as to say its almost perfect, the only thing is the battery but that was the same with 038. I updated Thursday night and left my phone on charge overnight so it was 100% at 7am Friday morning. I've barely used it since. No phone calls, about a dozen pics and 3 or 4 texts, and the battery is down to 38% already. |

Try THIS theme and in Media Center rotate your phone to landscape ... If it works to you (i mean no background in Media dissapear) i will be very confused :/ |

Maybe your battery has shorted and you're phone is on fire - can't see anyother way you're got red glow at the top  |

i can't beleive the level of distrust sometimes... i had to pull out my ugly LG U880 to take them, i couldn't get a better quality pic than that the camera is that guff LOL.
i will probably hate you if you try to imply that these are photoshopped lol. i will even post a youtube video if yu are that annoying. jees if i haven't got anything better to do :/ i'm goin to try flash the Erom now. |

I was just joking, I wasn't saying I didn't believe you. There's no LED on my phone, so yours must be a different build. Looks like it's made with an LED as the button, poss to signal a missed call or waiting msg. My button is just solid plastic.

I have a green one and i can`t see here any possibility (in my handset) to light this button with Red LED :/ in my it`s solid plastic button any transparency in it. |

I want to make a little survey about the battery life with the new firmware and about the random reboots. So if you can please write how longer your battery works and what are you using during that time and also what firmware did you had previuosly. About the reboots please write if it happens on your R1EA031 and what firmware region do you have(nordic, adriatix for ex.)

I had a R1CA037 CENTRAL-EURO ... How i can see ithe battery life in mine is very ok. But those reboots and other bugs (MEdia Center in landscape) make me furious.
LiamWolf can you check the date of produce your handset ?
