I just had this completely insane thought. WHAT IF the Pnext, is the PSP phone. *Waits for laughter to end*. I agree it sounds stupid, but all the pieces seem to fit too well.
-X1 is a business powerhouse, it isnt NECESSARY to have another business phone released at the same time.
-P could well stand for playstation.
-Business phones seem to be something of a dieing breed, in that, when you buy a high end or multimedia phone, business features seem to be increasingly the standard trimmings to be expected in the device.
-P series has not been given too much attention in recent times.
-A new UI, the PSP phone will have that (Source: Rumour/PK).
-Black, its pretty sure a Playstation phone would be that too (Source: PK).
-Multimedia oriented, again, the PSP phone will be this (Source: Rumour/PK).
-Seems to have all the functions you could hope for (so far, so good)
-Patent was seen on the internet recently, which means it was probably submitted by SE some time ago, and, looking at the patent, that IS something new from SE, and does seem to have all these functions and charactaristics from whats known of it so far (moreover, it confirms the forthcoming of the PSP phone, whether its Paris or not)
-The way these two devices are so mysterious, could it be a coincidence?
-We know a phone nicknamed 'Paris' is coming, and weve heard its a 'P' device, but we dont know that for certain yet.

Is a PSP/P5 phone possible? Sure, anything's possible. Probable? Probably not.
Though PK did say "Expect the unexpected..."
Though now that we expect it, it won't happen.

Yep, it came to mind because SE is changing their nomenclature so much, its not impossible that Playstation could be one of them sooner or later. Besides, with all the different series they have, there isnt one for gaming yet. Now that the capabilities are there, and the market is there...
More than that, its in the news that SE may target other markets other than Japan. Its interesting as Ive heard its more Sony who make the Japanese handsets. So if Sony focus elswhere, then the rest of us could get that Like.no.other touch in our phones (and OFC, Sony input = Playstation input?). |

So "paris"/P5i with a WQVGA screen? *sigh*
Why is it allways like this, X1 WVGA screen less colors, P5i more colors less resolution, why do they allways do this? (And I mean SE of sourse)
Why oh why? would it be the end of the world to have a WVGA screen in P5i?
Apparently it would, make you choose of course, well I can't afford both so I guess if I want something that have both I have to wait to, ohh 2009? 2010? oh well, I hope my P1i wont brake down until then.
Current mobilephone: P1i and my now old K800i, and before that W800i, V800i, Z600i, and T310. Waiting for X10. |
