This was posted earlier in a different thread, or maybe this one?

i think it was decided a fake.

Do you happen to have a link to that specific thread on the forum? (Would like to read the different arguments... =)

Anyway; very nice concept!

I've been with SE for years, mostly because of the great user interface on every phone I've used.

Since no "P5" was announced on 2 major events (mwc and cebit), this is the time to move on. As I was waiting for something more iPhone-ish (large multi-touch screen, finger gestures, great technical parameters, you know the drill...) from SE, X1 doesn't do the job - with WinMO it's just too "business". More than that - I'm not ready to wait for 6 months and then buy THAT for 600-700 Euros, considering the upcoming Android phones, NVidia's concepts etc.

I'll stay a fan of SE and will keep my fingers crossed for "P5" (still may be my next phone?), but starting from today, I'm an iPhone owner.

Prices of phones have been VERY comparable.

At launch on Vodafone the K850i retailed on contract for $199Euro's. Rogers released it at $299 on 3yr contract (less $100 credit if you signed for $25Communicate pack for those 3ys. I did I got enhanced Voicemail 2500 SMS, 1000 MMS, Video On Demand Unlimited, Radio On Demand Unlimited, Caller ID, Missed Call ID - works when your phone is off) ALL of which I already use but I get the bonus VOD/ROD & $100 credit.

So again what pricing are you complaining about? I'll agree on Blackberry data rates. Unlimited browsing on the built-in browser for the K850i is $7/mth extra MUCH cheaper than ANYTHING before EVER offered (including Fido's grandfathered Unlimited data for $50/mth - but that included tethering). Remember I'm an Old school user here in Canada so be careful with such statements; I'm not rich never have been so EACH dollar paid is a hole in my pocket! I always watch the pricing. hehe.

European bands will NEVER be used here because our wireless licensing is VERY different than in Europe. Hoping for that is like hoping to fly by your own hands unassisted. Not gonna happen. Heck even our VHF & standard Cable in our older Boob-tube TV's had different resolutions. A Triband K850i suits the need for traveling and still getting HSDPA.

Don't worry competition is HEATING up REALLY big. Telus rumor began with no proof on another forum and analysts that don't even use MMS let alone network features. Telus WILL offer GSM roaming during this years Olympics but ONLY in BC.

3G rates are horrible... "Rogers Vision" won't be as popular as 3G in other parts of the country because the prices are just way too high. For the regular phone user, the prices aren't too bad, but I think deasine was reffering to 3G rates.

And I'm pretty sure he was joking about European bands on Telus. Everyone knows that will never happen.

Go Telus! The future is HSDPA! Luckly, I'm in BC (Vancouver)

Not in the picture for those who knew. ^^

Btw, interesting thing on the "new" phones, meaning C902/C702/W980/W760, phones who can switch to the rondell and single icon menu:

I sent a flash theme from C702 to C902 via Bluetooth and activated it. Flash menu worked! There's a Debug Mode in these protos, tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash is empty. Don't know if this will be in the retail version, too, but flash themes with included menus would make things a lot easier.

Xellar, have you disassembled a theme to confirm desktop.swf is included?? It would make life a lot easier if it is, must say......

Hoping SE didn't put them in main instead though, or anything tight like that......
