Ok been testing this new 2,000mAh battery from Samsung!! It's great!! I fully charged it up last night and considering this is the very first charge it's doing really well. I been using the phone all day with plenty of browsing email few calls texts display on a lot though no gaming but played some music and videos. It's now 2am next morning and I still have 33% battery left!! I cannot seem to drain it So all in all it's worth it and with not much increase in size!!
Phone?? What phone??

The fact that the batteries seem to be constantly out of stock in many places is testimony to its worth. They are selling quite well, maybe faster than the phone itself.

Good to see you still have another 33% to go to sleep with. Can't beat that.

Yes,this bigger battery is a god send. Even though I got through the day with the stock battery, this one is awesome. And what's good is it's not a 3rd party crappy battery.

well I don't know about you guys, but I murder my battery in a few hours... one and a half hour of wifi and screen at 20% = 33% drained.
When I play games it gets quite warm and drains very fast (talking about some heavy 3D games, not Angry Birds), you can almost see it with your eyes. Also 1 reboot eats 1 or 2% lol.
battery monitor pro predicts ~2:30h of 3D gameplay before it gets to 0%. It's pretty realistic.
My screen is always eating up 50%++ of the battery (and it's at ~20%, with NO auto brightness). Gonna go for that 2000mA battery soon.

Are you rooted? Maybe all you need is just the right ROM with the right kernel...CheckROM HD revolution 3.1 with SpeedMod kernel 2.16 does wonders for me....with 3g & GPS on all the time, about 30 mins of Facebook, an hour of browsing, an hour of Wind Up Knight and some music throughout the day, I still manage to have about 30% left by the night....Maybe its not worth spending money on the 2000mA battery without first trying out some tweaks

Does the glossy plastic bezel annoy anyone? Whenever I pick the phone up I'm griping this crappy sticky finger-print-magnet plastic. I ordered the official case from Samsung to try and improve the overall feel. Otherwise I think its a very good looking device... the screen's contrast is really superb!
A better build (better plastic/metal alloy?) and a pixel density of over 300 and this phone would be incredible...
Still... I've been watching bluerays on this and it blows me away every time

The only other gripes I have are with Google and should be ironed out with the ICS update whenever that arrives.
Comparing to an experience with iOS using the iPod Touch which without a doubt it destroys.

Edit:
Anyone know if you can download youtube videos without having to root? I haven't even rooted it yet I'm so lazy

Here's the case I just ordered I'll post picks of it installed when it arrives!

keepvid.com (from browser). paste in the video URL and you can grab it in any format and resolution.

Also yes my S2 is rooted, and running Siyah 2.2 kernel (with stock 2.3.5 KI3 ROM). There are no running apps in the background (at least not in task manager) but i have a lot of apps cached.
Also I will play a bit more with the phone before i get a new battery. Don't think 50$ is worth the extra hour for me (3D gaming eats about 500mAh/h so do the math).

One more thing: when i got my S2 I threw the earpieces in my drawer. Yesterday I got them out because I had a long road ahead of me. Tried them for the first time. They are horrible. :/ My X10 mini pro phones where way better. Little dissapointed about this, because it's a high end device. Also they are too big to fit in my ear. After 1h my ears where hurting bad. At least SE had 3 sets of plugs (small medium large).
Well I'm gonna upgrade to Sennheiser soon.

Another thing that's bugging me: Macro focus is bugged. Sometimes it wont focus at all (tries to focus, picture looks sharp but square is red), sometimes it focuses but misses the subject completely (everything is in blur, yet the square is green). This problem is only present in macro mode.
